Not a good set list. C'mon Jon, don't you have the balls to pull out more of the oldies?

Not yet - wait for Montreal!

My expectations for Montreal aren't really high. At most, I expect I'll Be There For You and I'd Die For You to be played.

Same here. They didn't pull out rarities for Toronto, so I doubt that any obscure track will surface in Montreal either.

What about These Days and Dry County?

EDIT: And, finally, Always? After all, night #2 is possibly the last show of the THINFS tour...

Yeah they're the "expected unexpected", but since Jon had talked about things like Hey God and other rare album cuts from the 90's before the tour, there had been hope for some more.

And why are you so keen on them doing Always? Jon obviously has a real hard time singing it and we have a hard time listening to it. He sounds way more decent on Bed of Roses and I'll Be There For You, so he just stick to those.

Because Always is my favorite BJ song besides These Days and Saturday Night. Not even Prayer is quite as epic.

There's no chance in hell they'll play Always.

But did people really have hope it would be the North American leg that got Hey God etc?

Possibly because this tour has no European leg.

steel_horse75 05-15-2018 09:01 PM

How hard would This Ain’t a Love song be to sing?

With Jon's current voice, probably close to impossible.

True. I mean...Jon said those songs were being considered while they were rehearsing for what everyone assumed would be a world tour, including the band. No one honestly could have thought Hey God would be a regular in America.

Not a regular, but I had at least hoped it would show up maybe once or twice when mutiple nights were held at a venue. Especially since Phil X had said in 2013 that his favourite song to play was Hey God and thus far he's only been allowed to perform it once.
And if it wasn't for Hey God, it would've assumed that Blaze of Glory would make a return since it was a No. 1 hit in the States and Jon had mentioned it before as well.

08. It's My Life
09. We Weren't Born To Follow
10. We Got It Going On

'Must admit I check these sets but don't see any changes (of course there actually is, but reading them nothing jumps out). Hopefully the performances are good and I'm sure everyone has a great time but would be nice to see people thrown a bone with a rare song or two.

WhamATC 05-16-2018 02:11 AM

BJFan99, The verses of TAALS aren't that high, they are around D4 - E4 with lowest around A3.
If he lowers the highest notes of the chorus then he can probably do it. The chorus sometimes hits G4 - A#4 area.

YOVANAfromPeru 05-16-2018 09:56 AM

I just realized all the stupid things that I say here O_O U_U, sorry >_< jajaj
but Who says in the encore... I mean, it was like when I realized Who says was an AUDIBLE in Sao Paulo 2017 and I was super happy it wasn't played, but in Washington felt kinda the opposite >_< lol, and I know South America is not North America where Who says was a hit... but again, you north american diehards here would you prefer the song being played or not being played at all (even with no song taking its place)? >_< lol

I'm just a curious person, maybe because I'm accountant and people always is telling me their problems to receive some advice (since I've been called here like insane, narcisist, faithful, etc. you can call me now curious too >_< lol)

I guess if you're not north american and want to comment, it's okay too

YOVANAfromPeru 05-16-2018 10:11 AM

to do it more interesting to you... "Who says" could apply to all the songs you hate... and yeah that would mean a shorter setlist >_< lol

They dont need to when you read stupid comments on twitter like..."Just seen Bon Jovi for the 2nd time - they were as good as they were when I first saw them 25 years ago"

As if.

Looking at the picture on Twitter of the setlist Who Says is just written in. It wasn't an audible seems it was more like a, "oh shit we forgot that one" ha ha!

We all know that; what could be in JBJ’s mind?, “I want to play one more song in the encore, but none of the audibles or a rarity, let’s just play Who says”? >_<
