Just got back to my room.
Ill write a review tomorrow but lots of love/hate moments tonight.
Was totally totally confused as to wtf was going on when it started haha

This has been my first tour following this forum, really enjoyed it guys it's been really fun. Pretty great setlist to finish as well

Zakatar 05-19-2018 09:55 AM

In the back of my head I was kinda hoping they would end this show with Come on Up to Our House, since it ends the standard edition of the album and it would kinda be symbolic to end the tour with.

I knew it would never happen.

Odd isn’t it how they’ve skipped Europe for this tour.
Unless there’s another album I don’t see them coming over until late 2019 or early 2020.

'cause they have alliances with these North American venues now and in South America it was always around Rock in Rio... JBJ also wanted to do a concert in Cuba, but the government presented many obstacles... there also were negotiations with my country but my country is too poor for Bon Jovi >_< lol (especially after the natural disaster we had >_<, my home was 2 blocks away from the water, I got lucky!)

It's not funny, it's kinda sad. BJ toured in Poland only once, too. Too bad it's all about money more often than not...

well... in my country we all know that when BJ came here in 2010, JBJ made a BIG discount to us and the government deleted a tax so we finally could have them here! it was very awesome from both parts! and a real dream come true for all the peruvian BJ fans!!! they were working about this since 2006, at the end it was a reality! and those are some kind of good things JBJ does but many people don´t know... like with Spain, remember? "el precio amigo!"

BJFan99 05-19-2018 11:58 AM

That setlist is kinda strange, but I like it. Some of it I even love - Prayer, BOB and IBTFY at the end... nice! :D And it actually was a good decision for them not to play Always, as after that TD performance of the night before, I'm 100% sure Jon would've murdered it worse than ever.

>_< lol, yeah I would prefer to hear some more easy songs you know kinda like A Teardrop To The Sea ♥_♥

DavetheGodofKeys 05-19-2018 01:48 PM

Holy sh*t did I miss out. Definitely the best set of the tour! They even skipped Amen (hate the song) and played I'd Die For You and New Year's Day in the main set! And a new opener, finally! Sleep is probably my favourite opener after maybe I Believe. And finally, two encores! Sadly there was no Dry County, but I'll take Runaway, Blood On Blood, I'd Die For You, Memory and I'll Be There For You!

BJFan99 05-19-2018 05:00 PM

God, the ending of IBTFY gave me chills in the same way as These Days in Sao Paulo:

Regardless of how shot Jon's voice is, I still f*cking love the guy. Hard to find a better performer/frontman, even though there obviously are numerous far better singers.

leave him alone
at least he’s saying what he thinks

you are no saying nothing about the last concert of the tour, why?
you don’t have the time, you’re afraid to talk, you have nothing good to say so you prefer the silence or what?
me for example, ‘cause I think I posted way too much on this board -_-

You alright?

I run a fan account on Twitter so my posts mainly go on there than this.

Nobody is saying he shouldn't say anything. I just get confused as a few weeks ago he says how good JBJ sounds and then should carry on etc.. then the next day when he has a bad day, he says he needs to retire and such.

Anyway, if you want my opinion...

Good changes. Loved how Sleep looked as an opener from what I've seen on Twitter. Good to see two encores back which has been a while. Still nothing WOW except the opener being changed though.

Yeah, I get what you are saying. Jon manages to hit a single note, and people are like - “He’s back !!”. However, he’s been between bad and very bad since the end of 2013.

YOVANAfromPeru 05-19-2018 10:14 PM

off topic: speaking of twitter... anyone knows who runs @BonJoviupdates2? ‘cause I have NO idea...

setlist on BJ instagram story, zero Audibles
Arms, Blood and I’ll be there weren’t printed...

What a flawless end to the #thinfstour. Thank you to the fans and each city for showing us why @BonJovi fans are the best in the world. We'll see you soon!

So there will be some news what is next,I hope for some good stuff.

I'm hoping there'll be a new album with either more Phil X or a return of Richie. Just not the same guitar sounds from Shanks.

I attended both shows so here our my thoughts:

The crowd in Montreal is fantastic! I think it was louder on the 2nd night which is a good thing because they drown out a lot of Jon's vocal issues. I noticed he had a tough time singing Lost Highway, Who Says, Because We Can, In These Arms, and especially These Days. I was very happy to hear These Days considering it's quite rare in Montreal. The crowd didn't seem to care much about it though which is too bad. Speaking of rare, after 14 shows, I got to hear I'd Die For you for the 1st time which was very exciting! That excitement however didn't last for very long because I honestly expected Dry County/Always to open the encore.....only to get Memory!!! Don't get me wrong, I like the song but was not expecting it all. I was so worried that after Prayer that would be it which would've been 1 song less than the previous night. Jon was waiting for his guitar for awhile so I thought we were going to get I Love This Town. Phew, I'm glad I was wrong. I could hear Jon asking Dave which song to sing after Blood and saw Dave mime I'll Be There For you. 1st time I hear it with Phil X. Obviously it's different than with Richie but still very enjoyable plus I thought Jon sounded decent.

I was so confused by the opening on the 2nd night. When I saw the band come on stage with the house lights on, my thought was wtf? They started to jam and I had no clue what song iwas being played until I heard Jon (cuz I couldn't find him) sing seven days of Saturday... I knew right away we were going to get a different show than from the previous night which was awesome because I wanted to prove to my wife that going to 2 Jovi shows back to back in the same city wasn't a dumb idea and waste of money.

As far as Jon as a frontman goes, imo he hasn't lost a beat! The energy that man has is incredible! It looked like he was having a seizure before the one more time part in Bad Medicine. Also, watching Tico beat on those drums is amazing!

Overall, it was 2 excellent concerts! I know Jon can't sing like he used to but with the music being so loud, the background vocals, and the crowd drowning him out, as a casual fan, I don't think you'd ever notice. As mentioned above, I found it strange that he had a hard time singing the newer mid tempo type songs like Lost Highway/Because We Can opposed to imo sounding good during It's My life/Born To be My Baby. Easy fix: drop them permanently from the set! I'm afraid that Whole Lot Of Leaving will stay forever due to the Do we got it anymore line that made the bell centre go insane! I like the song but hate the placement in the set.

If Bon Jovi keep coming to Montreal, I will continue to drive the 7 hours to attend the shows. My advice to anyone from overseas wanting to see a Jovi show in North America but cannot decide which city to visit, GO TO MONTREAL! Passionate fans and a lovely city, make for an awesome experience!

Rdkopper 05-20-2018 05:49 AM

Nice review... Not sure why you seemed upset that the fans overlooked Jon's vocal issues though (unless I misread it)

I just went back to the 2017 tour and did some comparisons and there is such a significant improvement with not only just Jon vocally but with the entire band too...

Does anyone have the song tally?

I've long wanted to see Sleep open a show, and it was ****ing awesome. Way to turn a super overplayed into something exciting again.

I would prefer Bounce+Bad name combo but I wasn’t even in these concerts, so it’s okay!!! -_-

Just watched that video of 'Ill Sleep When I'm Dead' & thought it was brilliant!

I'd happily have that as an opener.

Separating Sleep and Bad Medicine is necessary...

The best Livin on a prayer note before the solo of the tour was at the last concert.
Very strange.

WhamATC 05-20-2018 05:18 PM

How often did they do IDFY 2010 to 2013?
It feels kinda like how Jon did the last "Bed Of Nails" part like 1993 in the beginning of this tour sometimes.

3 times in 2010, 3 times in 2011 and 3 times in 2013, so from 2010 to 2018 it's been played 12 times in total (with the addition of 3 more versions this year).
