Quick track reviews after one listen (keeping in mind I haven't paid much attention to lyrical content)...

Beautiful Drug
Sounds like Jovi, but doesn't at the same time. It's like a mash up of the Crush, Bounce, HAND, BB and THINFS eras, which sounds like something old but new.

Story of Love
Wow, solo is beautiful. Saves the song. Production is great.

Let It Rain
Nothing too much more to add from the snippet. I think it's a solid track. Definitely a carry over from the THINFS sound.

Lower the Flag
Well, the bridge is something we haven't heard before. The overall vibe is very haunting, which adds to the overall song. I can't see myself coming back to this one often, but it's got a little something something.

Blood in the Water
Bah! I feel like this is the song, or at least style of song, we've been waiting for since 2000. That solo is craving to be longer though!

Brothers in Arms
Sounds like an early 2000s track mixed with a KTF track to me (Think Woman. It's fun with a solid bass line. It's no stand out though.

Overall, I approve! Two stand out factors: 1) the "epic" element is back in some of the songs. 2) Production is much better than I anticipated.

It's not a perfect album, but it's better than what I was expecting. Unsure what I rate the album overall though, when I factor in all the tracks already released. Hmmm....

I don’t know if it’s because my expectations were so low that I’m shocked... But I listened to the full album start to finish first, then went back to these 6 new songs. As a whole, it’s a really good album. I even kind of enjoyed Unbroken in its place, hadn’t listened to it since the week it came out. The 6 tracks we hadn’t heard are all great, IMO. Fairly certain that I’m going to be alone on this, but after 4 listens I think I’m gravitating towards Lower the Flag as my very slight favorite. On the first listen when he started naming the shootings we’ve had, I got chills. But I’m really loving all 6 new tracks. I love the clarity of the instruments and the guitar work especially. They will stay on repeat for the foreseeable future.

Does anyone know for certain that we are getting Shine and Luv Can?
