Why bother releasing another single..plus it’s the worst song of the original 10

Not my favorite too, but actually it is between the most streamed songs and it was the only non-single, from this record too, to reach n° 1 in an iTunes chart (I think it was the slovenian).

Albums are dead in the water by NOT releasing singles, this doesn't make sense.

Hopefully. The 2020 album, enjoyable as it was for some parts, will be completely outdated (and most likely forgotten) by the next couple of years. In case Jon wants to save his recording career - and I have no doubt he will want to -, he has to come up with something new.

This single will have no impact on selling more albums.

Oh! Man, wish they would have checked with you before doing any work on promoting the album. I probably should close down the thread, all work on it is done guys!

It's not always about album sales, it's about relevancy. New song = new video = new content to share online. Might not lead to huge sales, or it might catch. But they have to do something to keep the album out there and releasing a single after the last one didn't do so hot is pretty par for the course for a musical act, no?

I can see why this song is being released as a single. Valentine's Day is near and the radios offer to put love ballads. Story of Love is not a boy-girl song but it works as a tender song about fatherhood, about family.

I really really really think with the right push it could be a big song for father/daughter/mother/son dances at weddings too. Lord knows enough of their songs are classified as "first dance" songs.

I can't see this song making any impact or actually being played on the radio. It has no melody that sticks and the radio edit will probably cut out the solo at the end. If I heard it from any other artist on the radio, I'd probably wonder about the bad vocals and then forget it. There are songs on the album where his vocals flaws are much less obvious.
