If it can be done like We Dont Run, go ahead.

We're in this weird era where it's all effects and rasp added after. You can have a song with a dangerous feel to it that sounds mechanical or you can have a natural take with whispering but sounds real. You can't have it both ways. We Don't Run and Knockout are fine but....they sound like a computer.

We can get both. On an album there should be 3 or 4 punches like We Dont Run, but we could also have 3 or 4 songs with Jon's more natural relaxed voice. The thing is that the album need more energy, I think of songs like WWWU, Beautiful Drug, or different tempo rock songs like God Bless This Mess and Brothers in Arms.
If an album has 12 songs, it includes at least 7 solid rock songs, a couple of powerful ballads like Luv Can - Blood in the Water, and some half-times that get the record flowing well. Bon Jovi needs an record oriented to rock, that those rock songs predominate on the album.
It's not about doing another SWW, it's about making a damn Rock album.
