THINFSale is in my TOP7 BJ albums so I have big expectations for next album. I hope that Phil X give them something more. On instagram Shanks put some day before photo which lookslike video for new single. I really waiting with excitement :)

Of course you could have right but in makeing of videos camera is rather static. It's looklike dynamic shot an Jon didn't sit on chair or any other comfortable place to do interview. For me it's looklike video or advertisment (for european tour).
May/June is best time for new single if they still planning releaseing album in summer

JBJ said on that cruise that he has been writing A lot for this record and that there's one song that he has been writing for Obie about military women or something like that

There is no way the album is coming out this summer. He's sitting on SOMETHING but I don't think that dictates the type of project it is. I'd be pumped if it was a new video but it feels too soon.

Acording to all facts we know:
Jon have 2 or more songs for THINFSale which they didn't release
They wrote 6 or 8 songs for THINFS re-edition
Jon had 25 demos on phone before they staring recording in church
They planned some studio sessions which end them at the end of may
They need new stuff to promote tour now, not at the end of tour
We can have the same situation like with Saturday Night Gave Me... that we even didn't know that they want to release song for radio at that time.

I really think that we'll hear new song before show in Russia. New album? maybe during or after european leg.

But wasn't "....Saturday Morning" also released as promo for Burning Bridges? Since it had an album it was tied to this would need to be the same in order for that to apply. I'm very hopeful we get a new song or two but I would think they would hold off on a new album until they tour it proper (Hope being the key word, they botched it pretty badly with THINFS and Europe).

Yes it was but we didn't know that they will promote it 2-3 days before they released it on radio. If i remember correctyl with this songs (Saturday and We Don't Run) they also confirmed when they will release new CD and how tracklist will be. Here situation could be the same. They could recorded single, make video and give to us like a big suprise.

Is possible that they launch something that does not fit in the album but with enough hook to promote a tour.

Example: Stereophonics are recording an album, and in the middle of the process they released a single, they thought they needed something new to catch their fans, that song they released did not fit well in the album they are working on but they felt the need to release it. Maybe this is a similar case.

I've wondered if that wasn't part of what they were doing in Nashville, too. I can't believe they'll hit EU without even a new song or two. They're gonna need something to breathe new life into another leg promoting an album that was recorded 4 years ago. JMO

Jon was in the studio working on THINFS as early as Feb 2015 (over 4 years ago) and in March 2016 (3 years ago), Jon said "the album is done."

Basically that JBJ had 23 demos on his phone, there’s already a title for the album, there are some rock songs, Phil X played all the solos in this first batch of songs recorded in Nashville, New York and Los Angeles.

I just find somehow sometimes his humor disrespectful.

The dude's hands are tied. He could record a rip roaring solo but if it doesn't get past Jon it's dead in the water. What are people expecting here?

I dont understand this character assassination of Phil X... I enjoy his twitter feed and his solo work, he also seems to be a much more likeable guy than Jon.

Saying 'would a solo be good here?' - 'How about this riff?' etc is being part of a team. Giving a suggestion. Making your part of the input worthwhile.

Nobody is saying 'stand up to Jon and tell him what you think' so let's not go over the top.

What we are saying is that Phil, as we all know, is a quality guitar player who can certainly rock out. It's the first real album (by the looks of things) were we have him playing guitar on most songs. Not 4 this time. For him to reply and say 'are we kidding?' is a little bit arsey but not only that, is kind of giving Jon a bad name (no pun intended) as it's making it sound like he is set in his own ways. (Not that we didn't know that ourselves)

It's disappointment more than anything and only gives me less excitement than I already had for this album after seeing Phil's response.

I remember Phil saying that he had brought some Riffs in to JBJ before, but nothing ever came of it and that he thinks JBJ is "scared2 of his riffs... :rolleyes:

Those kind of quotes kinda make it sound like Phil has kinda given up trying to rock things up a bit...
