Was it actually broadcast on an FM station, or was the audio just broadcast via FM to your car stereo? I would imagine it would be harder to record that directly?

Apologies, been away and out of the loop, so not sure what the FM refers to.

Considering people tap into IEMs, this seems like it should be a slam dunk...

But once you're in range, you turn to a specific station (which was listed on the website) and that's it. Its probably a limited range but when I was a mile or two away, I heard the intro...

So anyone with a computer can listen and record the stream. There are a ton of apps and websites that will play FM Stations..

Right gotcha, that makes sense, thanks. Yeah i'm sure no one could really be bothered. The apps will play the FM stations, but they will be ones that stream online in some way. You wouldn't be able to pick up a direct FM signal without an FM receiver of some sort. And I'm sure not a ton of people have those these days.

Do you think this concert will be available in another media in the future?

Maybe via iTunes / Amazon Prime, something like that, down the line. The DVD format is pretty much dead, so I would say that is unlikely.

Butters 06-14-2021 12:21 AM

JBJ Experience members will probably by given 'exclusive' access to six of the songs a week before it available on YouTube.

Ouch...
Again, another hard review from Spain to the Bon Jovi Encore Nights concert

Unfortunately, I do not think it is a hard review, rather a sincere and realistic review. Whoever wrote that seems to like Bon Jovi, but Jon's decline is very obvious and cannot be ignored.

Still, I think when they come back next year with a new tour, they will do well with the ticket sales.

bonjovi90 06-14-2021 11:54 AM

Kind of rough when you wait for anything to happen in the Jovi world and then you see what Springsteen is announcing / has been doing (makes me happy since I'm a fan of his, but also leaves an empty feeling in terms of "what the hell have they been doing?" with regards to Bon Jovi).

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/m...llers-1182151/

- Springsteen On Broadway restarting again
- Collaborations with both John Mellencamp and The Killers
- Tour in 2022
- Releasing a lot of things from the vaults: "I will let it be a surprise."
- New album in the pipeline

blazeofglory 06-14-2021 03:53 PM

I mean we do know that Jon has started writing for the new album and he said there have been talks about starting the tour in Australia in February (I believe he said February), but kinda makes you wonder about the time up until then.

Unless we're just around the corner from a lead single/album announcement. Who knows. 😅

Agree with that. I read the review and agreed with it 100%.

Harsh on the support act though haha

I wonder if we will finally get another Box Set with unreleased songs and rarities. Didn't Jon say something about it on Runaway to Paradise trip? that after the 2020 album/tour would a new box set come?

YOVANAfromPeru 06-14-2021 11:37 PM

It was entertaining indeed read a review where says a lot of what we've say here.
But I was a little more positive when I commented that concert.
If Jon reads it, he probably would be mad and he would never come back to Spain

Gadden 06-15-2021 12:23 AM

The concert was so and so, but I really liked Story of Love. Will premiere it tomorrow:

Will probably take it down afterwards FYI.

EDIT: You have seen the video but new audio source.

New boxset around 2023...

YOVANAfromPeru 06-15-2021 05:27 AM

On the Sao Paulo Runaway Tours trip 2019, Jon said: "Eventually, there will be another box set."
That's all what I've heard about it. Something very general, nothing promising in my opinion.

That could explain why there is nothing in the Experience, I suppose.

Even so, he could dig up some gold from the past... As the new boxset would be in it's majority songs from 2005-2020.

Alphavictim 06-15-2021 01:27 PM

Don't promise "never before heard tracks" if you need to hold them back for a boxset release.

Also, they could simply release them on the Experience NOW and eventually gather them (plus some more) in the box set. This is the only possible scenario for this to not be a scam - that they haven't released any tracks yet because when they do, they will also announce the new box set for anyone who missed the subscription window but still wants the songs. Yeah, I know...

Maybe, but I'd be a stupid excuse.
With 20 or 30 or 60 songs on it...man, even if it's a 12-song album...releasing 1 song wouldn't do any damage.

With American XS in 2003/2004 they were also in the making of the Box Set and gave us Gimme Some and Do It To Ya.

Captain_jovi 06-15-2021 05:17 PM

Oh yeah there's no question it's bullshit if they couldn't do a single track. Even an alternate version of a released song is better. This all has to be about legalities. It absolutely has to be because nothing else makes sense.

Or you take into consideration what you DID get: The kitchen apron. Which to me spells out quite clearly that they just don't care about quality content. Seriously, this is Wish grade utter crap that shows no regard for the fans, fandom or product. If they had put out quality merch and 4k takes on existing shows, okay, you could go like, "they're trying but somehow keep going for the wrong stuff; must be legal issues". But no. You get Youtube rips and a kitchen apron for botoxed up housewives who don't give a shit about the music as long as Jon shakes his ass.

It makes me angry I'd ever believed the band that they were NOT what the naysayers made them out to be. And I didn't even pay for this shit!

Even those housewives are being ripped off. While they do lap it up, surely they would prefer something more meaningful. Even in terms of merch they could do much better. It is now at the stage they are slapping the Bon Jovi logo on any old item. Even that part of it doesn't make sense.

It does seem something around legalities is playing a part in this, but how didn't they know this before announcing a product while promising a bunch of stuff they couldn't deliver?

I can get over music I don't like, but this "Experience" is a awful from every angle I look at it.

Yeah but now we're projecting our own feelings on what makes someone elses day, ya know? Happy is happy. From the standpoint of that side of the fanbase they're not doing the worst job. But they hoodwinked diehards big time.

Yeah, fair enough.

Do we know for sure there is a general swing of more people liking this than not? I mean, I think everybody who signed up for the Experience on this board hate it. I don't know who they are, but I remember some posters said they purchased it.

So, how are we judging that people do actually like this? I don't do social media, but are there droves of people commenting positively about this?

I think the best way to put it is....the majority of the people that are happy are ones that bought it and the ones who are bitching the most mostly didn't. There's zero way to actually figure out how many are in which camp. I may make a thread poll here to see.

It's the usual suspects on Twitter though, people who do the fan club trips and spend stupid amounts of money on the band. There very well could be enough of them.

musiccritic101 06-15-2021 09:45 PM

Short 1 minute direct video source clip of the band's performance of I'll Be There For You from the Encore Nights concert shared by Paoletti Guitars on their YouTube channel. I guess the Bon Jovi camp must have lent them a clip from the concert.

I like recent performances of HAND, but how Jon sings "life" at the beginning of the first verse and "seems" for the second verse is horrible. I don't know why he does it like that

This is the first time I've watched this performance, and after the positive comments, I was expecting to be pleasantly surprised. I was not. That was a car crash. If that is Jon "on form" then he has nothing left.

This isn't on form but this is the best they can make of if after doctoring his vocals. Just imagine what he's sounded like without all the autotuning, pitch correcting, pace correction and overdubs.

Salaam Aleikum,

I believe people meant the end was good to great. The rest, not so much, and yes, I'd like to hear the undoctored version of that (or maybe I'd rather not?)...

Considering Jon's vocal state, Covid couldn't have happened at a better time.
