Extended version is much better than original!!!! Thank u

MrNickel 02-24-2020 08:34 PM

Damn that extended version improves the song quite a bit. Video is better too, well done.

Speaking of videos, the videos for THINFS were really nicely shot and felt a bit more genuine. The Limitless video is too green screeny for my liking.

Nop, it's not terrible. I mean he's an ancient but a handsome one.
And he looks very thoughtful, and that's the point I think.

"The inspiration for the cover of Bon Jovi 2020 is a photo of John F. Kennedy, taken by Michael Ochs in August of 1962. It pictures the president reflecting both literally and figuratively upon a crowd in California. I saw this photo and wondered, what the president was thinking? Since there are so many socially conscious songs on the record and my admiration of the photo of JFK , I asked photographer Clay McBride to capture it as the cover of Bon Jovi 2020."

He doesn't look thoughtful, he looks like he's about to burp.

Jon's just been on Radio 2 in the UK talking about the new album. Zoe Ball (radio presenter) said she heard it yesterday and it's something Bon Jovi fans will love (I know she has to say that). They played Limitless - Jon said it's the first time he's heard it on radio, which was a thrill). He said they wanted to put out something more familiar to the fan base rather than an Unbroken or Lower The Flag. He said it's not a sad album - it's just a snapshot of the current time.

I'm looking forward to Lower the Flag. Sounds like it could be quite interesting.

He has said as much before - that he _IS_ the CEO of the band. Which makes sense, seeing the merch prices.

Why he seems to think of himself as "the people's voice" in light of such actions, however, is baffling. Springsteen is a millionaire and 60+. He can pull it off, because he doesn't pull such statements out of his ass. There's is a humbleness about him that feels genuine, even if he knows what he is good at.

Bragging about being the most succesful touring act sure isn't that. (Something Richie also did and does quite a bit.)

Also, Rolo, that is a sweet edit. Gotta say, for all the crap people used to give you for being a total Richie fanboy, you just never let that get to you and obviously have a lot of love for the band still and quite an understanding of how music works. Major props for doing your thing no matter what, seriously.

Also, RDK is a doorknob.

Errrr Have you seen the One Show where he is on tonight? When on it last time they asked him about do they have Seagulls in New Jersey.

Its a complete garbage programme for old age pensioners.

Please, tell me it's a joke o.O now the questions he's asked during his runaway tours don't sound so dumb anymore

That is my concern, despite being all in place, the song is boring as hell.

I think the last Jovi song (for me) that was great with those features, was Lonely.

Yeyyy, finally some common sense. Stand up guy tracks are good and fit a more mature and shitty almost no voice left Jon.

They aren’t my favourite Jovi tracks, but they are more realistic and enjoyable that this limitless bullshit.

It is fantastic, but a complete rip-off note-by-note, unfortunately (can't remember from which song, but it was blatant).

It’s nooot.

Millions of songs are similar to others, you can start with Bad Name if you like.

All original song structures ended after the Beatles, Floyd,...some say before.

I think it was a song from Mumford & Sons.

Information about the single Limitless on los40.com says that Jonīs photo with his hand covering his mouth is the cover of the single, not the album.

I doubt it. This is the cover of the single (took the screenshot on mobile from YT Music):

Los40.com are not reliable. And Jon's cover is the official cover, if you bought the album on iTunes, you'll know. Since Unbroken and Limitless have the same cover.

Captain_jovi 02-25-2020 10:34 PM

Yeah and the amount they've talked about how the album is socially conscious it ties into JFK photo. Limitless hardly qualifies for the political angle they're referring to.

If that truly is not the album cover any more then the bad reaction got to them and they're switching it.

It is simply a typo. The writer misunderstood the information. This is not the first time this has happened.

Still a better question than the ones that get asked in the Runaway events

Stand Up Guys tracks literally make me sleep. Unbroken is too depressing and Limitless is alright! >_< jajaja

So in March the new Unbroken... "the charity version of the single, featuring the Invictus Games Choir, will be released in March, in support of the Invictus Games Foundation."
as if one wasn't enough >_< jajajajaja

WDHA-FM: Jon Bon Jovi Explains Inspiration Behind the Cover of New Bon Jovi Album
Quote:

In a post to the band’s website, JBJ explains the story behind to cover, writing,
The inspiration for the cover of ‘Bon Jovi 2020’ is a photo of John F. Kennedy, taken by Michael Ochs in August of 1962. It pictures the president reflecting both literally and figuratively upon a crowd in California.

"I saw this photo and wondered what the president was thinking. Since there are so many socially conscious songs on the record and my admiration of the photo of JFK, I asked photographer Clay McBride to capture it as the cover of Bon Jovi 2020.”

I guess that makes it official: Bon Jovi now consists of only one member.

I have to say, I've enjoyed the promo stuff so far. This morning was jam packed as he was on 3 radio stations.

Yesterday was The One Show and he did look like he was bored out of his brains but it is the most boring show ever. I was lucky enough to attend it but it was boring when he wasn't talking. Suppose Fiona Bruce fans may say the same......

It's just good to see some sort of spotlight again. Limitless in 58 on the charts at the moment too. That may just be iTunes but it's doing ok all things considering.

I think Unbroken may do okay with this whole choir thing and Prince Harry. We'll see.
