Well this is very hard to listen...his voice is shot
His voice is gone for today I guess.
I reckon Wanted and Prayer and that'll be it. |
I don't wanna jinx it or anything, but could this be the night where we have just one song from Lost Highway (albeit the opener )
I like most THINFS songs, including WDR, but they all sound shit live and just keep getting worse. The title track is semi-bearable and should be there but as much as it pains me to say this, that should be it
As strained as his voice is, the verses, and the "alive" part sound better than the previous shows/legs. At least he's singing "alaaiiiiiiieeev" instead of short-cutting to "alaiieeeeeeev" (sorry, hard to explain in writing ;-))
Maybe they should shorten the set. It's pretty clear that Jon can't do a 25 songs set on a good level anymore.
Do 18, but put the real classics + plus some new songs and 1 or 2 rarities and that's it. |
Wow, yeah he has nothing left for Prayer. Nothing.
It is crazy how standing still and trying to concentrate makes his vocals even worse.
I would be amazed if there isn't some sort of mental issue in addition to the physical deterioration of his voice. During the second verse of IBTFY he was really struggling standing still, then it was almost as if he realised, started walking about, and sounded better! |
Full setlist:
1.) Lost Highway 2.) Who Says 3.) Bad Name 4.) Raise Your Hands 5.) This House Is Not For Sale 6.) Living With The Ghost 7.) Runaway 8.) We Weren't Born To Follow 9.) It's My Life 10.) God Bless This Mess 11.) We Don't Run 12.) Keep The Faith 13.) Bed of Roses 14.) Lay Your Hands 15.) Captain Crash 16.) Bad Medicine -- 17) When We Were Us 18 ) Blood On Blood 19) I'll Be There For You 20) Wanted 21) Livin on a Prayer It's an upgrade from recent shows. Vocally, performance wise, set wise. IBTFY really killed his voice, so maybe replace that with something easier. |
