I don't understand why, if he insists on singing In These Arms, he leaves it until the encore when his voice is at it's worst. He struggles with it anyway, but surely it would be more bareable in the first half on the main set, 5 songs in or so?

That's hard to say. The only time it was that early I think was on the OWN tour. Olli from Bounce told me once that he couldn't sing it that early because he needed his voice to warm up for about 10 songs into the show until he didn't have to struggle with it anymore. But then again, he sings it in original key so that's a whole different animal and everyone's pipes work different anyway.

100% agree. Play it in the dreaded WLOL slot and then something like IBTFY in the encore.
