I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. Different people hear different things. If you've never seen a shit show in your life chances are you won't think this is rubbish either. Not because you got lucky, but just because you don't hear and see what others, who've been vocal about disappointing shows, hear and see.

So you'll get lost in your show and you'll enjoy it to the fullest as you've always done. It doesn't make Bon Jovi a better band, you're just able to appreciate whatever is left a lot better than I can. I do think however that those who truly cared for the Bon Jovi sound left a decade ago as there's not much left of that anymore. You'll enjoy it because it's Bon Jovi and you're emotionally attached to it and feel nostalgic towards it. The music comes second.

There's no point in convincing you a show is shit though just like there's no point in you telling me I should enjoy something more just because you like it. I think we both agree Jon's a rubbish singer nowadays who has to rely on backing vocals all the time to make it through a show. I don't feel like posting this under every video either when clearly 95% of the people who still post on this board will be there regardless of whatever performance Bon Jovi does. This band has changed, but so has its fanbase.

Salaam Aleikum,

A lot of truth spoken here. Guess some things are just highly subjective. I know a guy who used to be pretty harsh towards the band as it is now but after going to their gig AND enjoying it, it's suddenly a turn of 180 degrees in his attitude. It's an interesting phenomenon to see other people reacting in such a way, too, while YT vids aren't that much different.

A friend of mine commented on it like that:
Even if he miraculously got his 1992 voice back, I wouldn't be interested in a JBJ/Friends show. But that's just me. I can't relate to people who think he should be praised for moving around on stage and sounding better-than-awful. Saw that comment the other day from that nutty girl who said people shouldn't criticize his voice and just be grateful he's "not a bad person." WHUT?

Jon IS trying to get his mojo back. Some shows are better, some worse. Once you realize Bon Jovi isn't the band it used to be, it's easier to accept so many changes. The band changed DRASTICALLY. There's no old Jon back because there's no old band back. It's a magic combination of four people, not just a matter of Jon's good mood at a given day. But then you go online and read all those comments and 99% of them are ALL about Jon. Fair enough.

[quote=rokenrola;1255573]man,I really dont see a point in all those analise what is the good show and what is a shitty show. I always thought that movies and music are for fun and to feel good, not to go deep and analise theme or behavior of singer or guitar player and so on. If people are happy after the show why are you(you know who)so bitter and go with some games like you used to that,it is shitty show but you are not realise that and stupid things like that. Let the people enjoy for whatever reason is,it is subjective not general opinion that everyone must think and do the same. So boring is everyday to read that Jons voice is not like before and on the edgevery often but you see that no one from the show gives a shit about that. I see also something different about Jon and his stage behavior,it is positive, band are tight, playing great. Ok,you dont like it,you want something that you wont get it and you are frustrated because of that. I read here, someone wrote it that Jon holds the audience on the palm of the hand comparing to others big names Hetfield,Axl and that I heard also from couple of guys who prefer Guns and Metallica. Yeah,James is better vocally but he cant do what Jon can,not my words, words from hard rockin guys. People who will go to the BJ show, enjoy it,write a honest review later,I am sure this will be successfull Europe tour.
People that are negative now about BJ are the same people 8 years ago when Jon was in such great vocal shape and even earlier, from 2005 to 2008 also Jon great vocally,so what do you need to feel at least little bit happy with BJ?
