Why is the Live in London DVD so short?

They played many more songs than that on the night. Why is there only a handful of songs on the recording?

I have seen some videos on YouTube that were played at that show but very poor sound quality. Something to do with that maybe?

It seems to be something normal on the Bon Jovi dvd weather they tale off some song or change the order. I don't really understand what is Jon's criteria to decide it.

I've seen that they took a couple of songs out on the crush tour DVD and This Left Feels Right too.

Although they are not going to be broadcast on Tv, they make the edition as it for it.

And for the Londond DVD I believe that it was just the beginning of it, so it was such a short playable time on the DVD of that time...

The one with sound problems is the leaked tape from night 1, however, it was fixed with an audience recording recently so that one can at least watch it without just hearing the bass or drums at parts:

The official DVD is from night 3 and was mostly cut because Jon's voice went down the drain in the 2nd half after 3 nights in a row. Hey God and This Ain't A Love Song had serious overdubs on his vocals. But I don't get why they didn't at least put I Don't Like Mondays on it since that one sounded great.

Live From London was released on VHS initially. I think the DVD version was available in or after 2000.

It was also broadcast a lot on UK TV at the time and it seemed the perfect runtime as with ads it was 2 hours long.

I have no problems with the length. It's a perfect advert for the live shows and gained them untold followers.

Wasn’t Hyde park 03 meant to be released on DVD?
You got a few songs on the TLFR DVD if you unlocked them when playing a game.

No, Hyde Park was not meant to be released on DVD. It's why the footage on the DVD is of such poor quality. Many fans kept asking for official footage so the band eventually released some songs. Watching that footage it's quite obvious why they wouldn't release it as the performance just wasn't very good. Hyde Park was entertaining and good fun, but a good show? Not so much, Jon's voice was shot and the band sounded tired.

Live from London was never released in full because the footage was shot by the BBC and there was a rights issue. Bon Jovi don't own the rights to the recording apart from what was shown on TV making it the only thing they were able to release. I'm not even sure Bon Jovi has the masters stored somewhere either. Obie once mentioned this a long, long time ago on bonjovi.com after someone asked why the DVD release didn't contain more songs even though Bon Jovi had little to do with the DVD release anyway.

Shame re Hyde park.
Great gig and about 103,000 people there on the same weekend as another major festival was impressive.

I was listening to a boot of this the other day, and Jon announced 92'000, at the attendance, (I was one of them lol!) so where did your 103'000 come from? (Not saying you're wrong, just curious!)

I sure I read that somewhere. I might be wrong of course.
I remember thinking it was packed. Never seen so many people. Luckily we got near the front early.

This was the official number of sold tickets. However, halfway there were so many people listening from outside the official area in the park that some press relases stated it up to as much as 120,000 in total.
