As he can't get any proper attention on the mainstream/rock charts anymore, appealing the country audience is the next step.

Two most important things to take from last night: Jon's vocals had undergone some post-production, but were the most bearable ones in the last 5 years or so.
But more importantly - Tico wearing glasses and still looking like an absolute badass!

Those vocals are definitely doctored. I'm not sure about bearable though; LOAP was a shambles.

Without Tico this band are f.ucked.
Jon still straining every time the songs requires some oomph.
I only watched about 15 seconds from each song.

Not much energy from Jon. Actually a little surprised how bored he seemed considering this is a great marketing opportunity. The vocals the same old. Definetely doctored but still far from enjoyable. Limitless sounded pretty good in a live setting though. A little tougher which suits it.
Tico king as always. Also kudos to the keyboard player - he did his part well. Who was he??

If nothing else, Jon's mic technique is better in that he's gripping far lower down the stand if need to, and he's keeping up with the songs better. Tone is obviously still off, and if I'm honest the show was a touch dull. I enjoyed it once can't see me watching it again.

Started the iHeart 2012 performance right after the 2020 one. It’s pretty much the same songs but nothing is alike. Obviously there’s no audience now, I get that makes a difference. But in 2012 it was a rock band - dont really know what to call the performance from last night.
This is no news - it just hit hard seeing this back to back. If we only knew back then what was waiting around the corner..

Nice to see no black acoustic guitar on Lost Highway. JBJ is much better whitout it.

Tico is probably the only 'rock' element left in the band. He sure as hell looked more animated and excited than Jon.
