This kind of substantiates my suspicion that already the Times Square footage was ripped from Youtube. This time around, you even see the watermark of the channel in the video. So for all not subscribed to it, just watch this one and you're basically caught up:
Bon Jovi - We Weren't Born To Follow (Live Berlin Brandenburger Tor) - YouTube

And I think every member of the JBJ Experience probably already has AAA in their vaults since they re-released it with the New Jersey Deluxe Edition in 2014

Who is responsible for JBJ Experience? Matthew Bongiovi?

Now, just wait for July.

And the sad thing is, he's sitting in the vault.

Also, the picture in picture of him watching the videos has zero purpose. He hardly has any facial expressions and just mutters a few words here and there. He doesn't even tell cool stories about the events. Just a few "wows".

Seeing Jon watch his young self really shows how diffent he once was. I think the dude is so fried out now.

Really starting to think they don't own the copyright to any of this stuff and that's why they keep ripping the footage from YouTube...

Makes me wonder if they originally thought they would be able to acquire the rights to all the footage when they announced the Experience, but ended up running into legal issues, so now they're improvising...

Then don't put that stuff out. How many people care about seeing what has been put out already? Surely the band have taped live shows over the years, surely they have some songs that no-one has heard. Maybe some more in-depth stuff from Jon as this is the experience with his name on it.

It is reasonable to assume they do not own the rights to stuff that was previously shown on TV. Great, but then don't use that content. Are we at the point where we can think there is literally nothing in the vaults?

And then there are the boxes of merch.

Oh, I wasn't defending them, just saying this might be why they're putting out the stuff they're putting out.

Also the presumed copyright issues might apply to unreleased songs and live shows from the vaults as well, but if that's really the case they should've thought that through beforehand and made sure they're legally allowed to release that stuff before charging people money for promises they can't actually deliver on.

I called it back when the box set was announced that legally Jon cannot just share what he wants without there being costs to it (licencing, royaties, etc). It make no difference if Jon owns the footage to shows they have privately recorded from the big screens, because he doesn't own the songs, particularly the ones he co-wrote (which is the majority). He has to pay to give them away. That has to be the reason that they are only sharing 3 songs from a show, rather than the whole thing, or at least a large chunk of it. It means he has to pay less royalties/pubishing. Other stuff, labels/stations etc may have claims on copyright too. It's a minefield which they surely must have known from the beginning. Unless they were arrogant enough to think that people would just let them do what they wanted....until their legal team advised them otherwise...

What I don't understand is ... how is it possible that other bands like Metallica and Pearl Jam are able to release full concerts on YouTube and in their annual subscription club but Bon Jovi can't do the same?

In 2010, on the official Bon Jovi website, by registering, you could access material that Obie put up for us to download. Live tracks like Wild is the Wind, Love for Sale, Diamond Ring, Story Of My Life, from the show 02 arena 2010, MP3 soundboard.

There is something that does not add up to me, and I do not think they are copyright problems. They don't know how to run this shit, or worse still, there is no interest in doing it and they throw anything random.

In 2010 Bon Jovi were signed to a major label and had financial backing probably had a lot to do with it. When you're in bed with the company who owns the song is a world away from having to pay to use your own songs.

I personally feel it's the way they've conditioned the fans. The band is so cheap and the fans they are aiming to are just happy to get anything. It's very sad. Glad they're happy but man, it's a lot of junk.

I am not deep into it, but I think Metallica owns all of its songs and is not tied to a label. The band works with labels to help with distribution but is essentially independent at this point.
