Not sure. It's a simple check... see if the changed lyrics to "Hey London Catch Me If You Can" is identical...

Whether or not royalties are involved, I'm not entirely sure. No song are being "sold", anyone know much about how that works?

Personally I think if Jon wasn't comfortable looking into the past for this we wouldn't have gotten the promos and pics of the archive. Really hope so at least. We're gonna get some stuff.

But out of fairness its early and the cost is so low to redeem themselves.

Right. But your subscription services have annual fees as well, exactly because these services promise the same thing throughout the entire subscription.

So again, I start up a streaming service, promise loads of amazing things and they're exactly the things you're hoping for. Then the first month of your subscription comes and all you're able to watch is Air Dog 3. Or Air Bud 3, as I've just been told.

So now you're telling me you're saying you'd be satisfied and would say something like "oh well, after everything this subscription service promised this didn't live up to my expectations but we'll see what next month brings". Because... it's an annual fee?

How does that work though? Exactly because this is an annual fee you're supposed to get the same quality throughout the entire year. If not, it'd defeat the idea behind an annual fee. What if you'd sign up just a month after something big was send out? You can't tease people with one thing and then send the opposite of what you've promised. Or postpone certain releases just because you see fit. Exactly because it's an annual fee.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Wow it was meant for 2020 and they thought that it would be the big hit from this record.

I didn't received any notification about this live from Falcon, it was 4 days ago only!

I don't disagree with the logic but this thing was thrown together in such a way that it didn't promise jack as far as eras and quality. Everyone here went in well knowing they didn't know what they'd get. As far as what was promoted and marketed, it's done that. It was alluded we'd get unreleased songs and videos at some point and we probably still will, but you can't put a price on this value because it's worthless to some and pretty cool to others. Do I want to watch a q and a with Jon? No way, I've seen others be really happy with it. The tour of the studio was kind of cool.

I just don't believe we were teased and got the opposite, what was teased was in inclusion with what we were getting. There's no proof anything was postponed, everything could very well be going exactly as scheduled because everything released so far has been timed to the season.

Had they said 12 months, you'll get this in month 1, this in month 2, 12 unreleased songs overall, sure I'd be on your side I think but just because we, the type of fan this was never going to be a cool thing for, don't like what they've chosen it's all a bonkers argument.

You can tell that Jon wrote the chorus and that Billy wrote most of the verses. I doubt it would have been a hit, but it works quite well in this acoustic Western style.

There's this other live, the week before, where he played for the first time the song (by 45 min) . I think he made up the bridge and I got myself singing the chorus the whole day

Interesting, I can't wait to hear the studio version of Bon Jovi ... I wonder if it will be an electric version with all the production tricks or will it be something more bare and acoustic.

The songs are essentially being sold as they are part of a package that you pay for. Royalties will still need to be paid to the songwriters/publishers at the very least.
