I've no idea who you constantly try to convince all the time. You discredit everyone who bitches about this and yet seem to set yourself up for disappointment every single time. Right from the start it's been clear there is no thought behind this as to when they'll release what.

They've absolutely no idea what they're going to send out other than cheap merchandising and dodgy VHS rips that won't get a remastering process because doing so costs money and time. Once it's time to cancel the memberships they'll realize they need to throw people a serious bone and you'll get the odd rare song which will then be posted on the internet the next day for everyone to download. There is just no reason to sign up for this other than to be able to say "I am a member". Nothing.

If they'd have had a plan they'd have announced it but they're relying on those buying this regardless of what's out there. It works just fine, those who do care won't sign up anyway. It just boggles the mind that there's still people like you who somehow still have faith this just might be something.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

To me it's a numbers game. If they're putting out one crappy thing a month, it's a waste. If they're increasing what they're putting out I have an easier time thinking something here and there will be okay. And if they don't, whatever. I understand I'm in a more privileged spot where if I gamble $80 in one year and don't get much out of it, I'm not heartbroken and screaming SCREW JBJ.

I honestly don't think enough of "us" signed up that it will effect the numbers THAT MUCH come renewal time. That's been my point from day 1.

I didn't see that Bed Of Roses in good quality before. But that Bed Of Roses wasn't the ultimate performance either. Nothing really special, at all.

Sure, but that's because most of "us" figured that given this is JBJ & company, it ain't gonna be for us. But this is not a "well, so they're doing everything right" scenario. This is a "they could have had our money" scenario. How much is it to transfer old demos, really?

WITHOUT a clean up, and with Obie being pretty much on speed dial, it'd be super cheap. Transfer them all once, run them through some basic mixing and clean up (you know, the kinda stuff HAND does for free regularly), it's still dirt cheap. And they'd have gotten money from people who aren't just wino soccer moms. But nope.

Again, if you're gonna run stuff like a business, with zero romance for rock & roll, that's fine. But they're doing a bad job even from that angle. It just seems cheaply done all around. The old slogans ("NEVER BEFORE SEEN!", "EXCLUSIVE!") make this shit seem even fishier. Oh well.

If I'm ever to eat these words, I'll gladly take the unreleased tracks - it's not like me bitching is my dream outcome of this. But as of now, that's what it is.

This is what happens when it’s no longer a band thing and you give the decision to one person. (Yes it’s been like that for a while).

But if a band thing then Tico might say hey Jon how bout that song we did for (insert album title here) that we recorded and just couldn’t get right. The fans might want that?

David chips in - how about the MK bowl performances in 89 and 93 they were pro shot shall we put those out there? Or even Hyde park 03 that was gonna be DVD?

But sadly......

Funny story - I was once offered a pirate DVD of the whole Hyde Park 2003 show pro-shot for £10,000. Had to decline it.

I once was offered a multitrack soundboard audio from Stockholm 1986 for $2500. Cheap industry

Well, it's called the JBJ experience, not the BJ experience, for a reason...
