Do you really want to open that bill once again? :D

The MSG DVD from 2008 is at $ 14,99 right now - so for $80 we might expect an output equivalent to 5 DVDs with 2 hour music

How much is the 2020 album? About $12? - so for 80$ we might expect an output equivalent to 6,5 CDs with 10 songs

They are not even close of giving anything back worth the money they are charging for. When did that thing start? In November? So almost half the time is over. Do you really (still) think all of a sudden that "Experience" will turn out any good? Maybe we will get 1 song we haven't heard yet.
But it's hard to believe that at the end of year one, there will be enough stuff released that sums up to the $80 bucks charged.

What's this Lost Boys track everyone is talking about?

You all get that the thing doesn't make Jon richer, right? He does have a support team and people to take pics and produce videos.
I am sorry to say this but if it is not aimed at you, deal with it.

But why are you expecting that amount of material? Your argument, I understand it, but you're bringing in retail value for tangible goods which absolutely drives the cost of that up.

I don't see how you can compare those two worlds. If you line up the exclusive material you're getting not already out there, as far as length goes, you'll hit those numbers between the q and a's, the videos, the access to the concert before it went live, the house tours etc. Part of me can't believe they're charging for some of it, but by keeping advertising vague about what is going up, they're still giving you what you paid for. It's just shit options for our type of fan that really could have been free. Our opinions and idea of quality went bye-bye to the organization so long ago.

Anyway, I'll stop bitching about the bitching, I just don't get constantly throwing a shit fit the thing you didn't pay for wasn't worth paying for. Would love it if they threw the hardcore fans a bone but I saw through this ages ago.

I don't expect that amount of material, I just used those figures as a sample calculation so that we get a feeling of what's usually worth $80.
So what you're saying, in reverse, for that price we'd even have to get much more compared to the material of CDs and DVDs, right?

I highly doubt that.

They promised us the moon and the stars with Jon going through the vaults of both live recordings und demo sessions. Neither of the releases so far could live up to that.

I 100 % agree with you ;)

Did they? Or did people just get overexcited and expect a band that has been so stingy for so long to suddenly have a Scrooge-like awakening and start tossing out albums worth of demos and rarities.

To be fair, Jon did walk through the "vault" saying its open. I know interpretations vary but it was fairly obvious what he was alluding to.

I agree, it was a dumb move because it raised up hopes. On the flip side, did it help numbers? A move like that is to attract OUR side of the fanbase. I feel like anyone who was planning on joining did when it opened, simply based on Twitter feedback.

The people here I know that paid talked about doing it long before that. I'm honestly asking, did anyone here join after seeing that video? I want to see how off base I am.

Jovi98 03-19-2021 02:12 PM

Curiosity, but do you think silver members will have access to outtakes or only gold members?

Sincerely, at the moment I'm not involved in this JBJ experience.

So who is getting everyone's $80?
