I've no idea what you're watching but the band is having an off night here. That show was trashed once it was aired. Jon's pretty much flat from start to finish and performs completely on auto-pilot while the band zones out all the time. Just have a look on everyones faces during the first song (when press is allowed to take pictures) and then the rest of the show. For a good 2,5 hours no one gives a ****.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I agree. I turned it off. The vocals were so flat. That version of I’d die for you is so flat and sung much slower.
Really horrible performance.....and Jon has a mullet :-)

@TheMattBongiovi

Eye spy the JBJ Experience. What a night that was

People on the replies are commenting about the NFL gig, from Bounce era. Can someone confirm and what version it is? It's in a better quality than what we already have on youtube?

It's a breaking new video never-before-seem... Except if you watched one of the 37246 videos of that night on YouTube

Watch the Story Behind the Times Square Show

Get a look at select songs from the Times Square performance! Watch as Jon shares the stories behind this special show

Jon talks about how the had a helicopter over to the Giants game to play half time for them. Few backstage shots before and after the show in Times Square.

Songs shown from Times Square: Undivided and Everyday

Showed some clips from the halftime show but Jon was talking over it. Nothing major, roughly 13min video

I've no idea why that tone and insult is needed as I don't think I've not insulted you in any way? As for your argument, you just don't seem to understand what people have tried to say. The very fact that you're satisfied with the amount of supposed changes you're getting which really aren't changes at all compared to other acts shows your bar is low.

Yes, bands keep the same set throughout the same tour. But the next tour half their set has changed. With Bon Jovi this just isn't the case as, minus the new songs, everything else but just 2 songs is completely similar. Even with Hyde Park, the differences between 2011 and 2013 were just 7 songs:

Raise Your Hands
I Love This Town
Blaze of Glory
Lay Your Hands on Me
I'll Be There for You
Hey God
Love's The Only Rule

That's considered mixing it up to you? Out of that list there's 1 song you'd just not expect at a Bon Jovi. This variety you're speaking of isn't there.

So unless you can show me a band who changes about as much per tour as Bon Jovi does with A "simple internet search" you're just flat out wrong. How many bands play 1 completely new song per tour to their audience? Your simple internet search ought to show you that right away as both me and semigoodlooking have tried to explain to you. I've no idea why this is so hard to understand.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Oh I understand what you and Semigoodlooking are saying, I just don't agree.

Again, I said I've experienced enough variety to be satisfied. Why do you have an issue with that?

My tone? You don't realise the condescending nature of your replies to people on here and your holier than thou attitude. Perhaps you do. That would explain a lot.

Remember, I suggested your expectations were perhaps too high but you're telling me definitively mine are too low.

This is by far the worst update we've had to date... 13 minutes of which the majority was taken up by two performances available on YouTube. I've also seen 90 percent of that other footage as well.

Jon's narrative was stating nothing but the obvious with a couple of "cools".

Fuxking Terrible

I just read today’s posts on this thread. I want to make a brief comment on set list variation (or the lack of it, to be exact).

Personally, I’ve never regarded unaltered set lists as a major problem. I saw Bon Jovi twice on the New Jersey tour. The first time was on the first European leg and the latter one was on the rebound a year later.

In 1988, the band was on fire from start to finish. There’s no denying. We got 18 songs if I remember correctly, ending with Boys Are Back In Town.

In 1989, the band was evidently somewhat exhausted from neverending touring, as later admitted on various interviews and documentaries.
There was almost no interaction between Jon & Richie anymore to be seen and Jon was clearly more static in his movements. We got only 14 songs of which 2 were performed acoustically. So there were only 12 songs with the full band. Towards the end of the set, we got 3 songs that hadn’t been performed the previous year (Love For Sale, NSG and LIS which was a current single).

It was the shortest Bon Jovi concert I’ve ever witnessed. The energy level was probably 2/3 of the previous year. Less rockers, more ballads.

Nevertheless, even with all the above mentioned shortcomings, the second leg show in 1989 was and still is my ultimate Bon Jovi concert experience. They were world weary and tired but still on the absolute top of their game. That’s the best of Jon I’ve ever seen.

So it all comes down to performance quality, if you ask me.

Completely agree. We are in May, it is the seventh month of the subscription if I am not mistaken, and everything is a real disaster. Jon just doesn't want to open the vaults, he's just releasing lazy videos, worthless. This and nothing is basically the same.

Very disappointed. Here we go again... again.
