I just got a Strike on Youtube from Billy Falcon's Halo performance that he posted on his Facebook. I have no idea how to get that strike removed, they blocked my video, but then I deleted it as a precaution.

I suppose if they have done this, is it because the song will soon be available on JBJ Experience?


It is the last time I upload these things on youtube. Something similar already happened to me with the video Richie Sambora - I Don't Want to Have to Need You Now, they blocked my account for a while, the funny thing is that another user downloaded my video before being blocked and put it on his YouTube channel, it's still there.

Interesting, did they say who the strike is from? I don't know if it means it will be up soon. I don't know enough about the way copywrights work in this case. It's not a studio recording but of a cover of a song someone wrote, it may be registered by the band, that's all I can think of. The Richie one makes absolute sense for the label to come after people but the cover of Halo is the head scratcher.

If that's the case it wouldn't have much to do with the Experience. I remember hearing he was supposed to an authorized Bon Jovi convention gig but pulled out when the band's management told him not to, so I don't know if this is them flexing telling him not to do covers of unreleased songs OR him acting on it. I don't know why he would though.

Maybe it's just occasional and the algorithms found similar the sound on the video and billy's FB page and block for its something recent. I remember there's him singing This House acoustically on YouTube and it hasn't been blocked.

Two months in and nothing on the Experience. Talk about a shitty deal. Not to mention even a shittier job promoting it. Jon should be blowing this up all over social media. Something like this that is strictly for diehards is easy to promote. Just post one video and fans will spread the word.

They should have prepared more in advance and mapped it out better for fans too. Give us dates on what to expect. When you pay for something in advance, you should get some type of breakdown of what or when to expect things...

After showing us a warehouse full of material, I thought we'd be getting material weekly (or at least monthly).

You have 90 days to put in a credit card claim and that's my limit. It's not my fault that they suck at promoting things... they let stuff just die off...

Jon also needs to become cool again. When Elvis gained weight, his diehards still saw him as he was back in the younger days but the general public knew he was a mess... After seeing people call Jon a Golden Girl all week, it's time to do something... He is not a silver fox - his hair is not grey. I'm totally fine with his age but that hair just has to go. Elvis at least kept his voice and some say that it even improved.

Jon's fanbase is definitely thinning out.

He is not singing like he used to (which I don't fault him for), his look is terrible (he does not have the hair texture for that style anymore), and they constantly let diehard fans down because they never give us anything worthy.

There is really nothing left to get excited about

I don't think he's not letting down the fanbase, he's letting down this side of the fan base. We stopped mattering so so so long ago.

EDIT: Everything else you're saying is bang on though. They could be doing so more with this. So little thought is put into what's next, when it's coming, what's on the horizon. I can see why they made this an annual cost and not a monthly, enough of us would be bailing by now otherwise.

That look is definitely not helping him hold onto his casual fans... That whole Golden Girl photo was posted by someone I follow on FB and here are the comments that were posted. These girls were all casual fans and would go to a show 10 years ago... Now he's losing them. This is why he'll stop selling stadiums... Backstage members will only get you so far... When Jon came to town, people would want to go see him... But when I read these comments below, it makes me cringe.

I don't often agree with Rd, but here I do. The look he sported in 2016, when the THINFS promo shows happened, suits him best IMO. If he wants to keep the gray hair, then make it shorter.

The archive he was posting weeks back was from Nashville were the Fan Club is located as well.

Its definitely cool to see this stuff but a ten minute video showing a half fraction of what is in there isn't worth the price of The Experience.

All his cool signature outfits are in Hard Rocks and Hall Of Fame type places.

What I found interesting is that some of the most simple t-shirts he's worn are in there... I could see saving big stage outfits but the most simple t-shirts like "tell your mom I said hi" just shows that anything the guy wears out in public becomes somewhat of a staple to his fans.

Pretty boring video, really. I like the fact that he's kept so much stuff but for 80% of it, he either had no idea what it was for and didn't sound enthusiastic throughout it. Not asking him to do a big song and dance obviously but it was just a bit flat.

I think people are starting to get annoyed on what's been promised and what's been offered thus far. Not talking about the boxes, but about those having subscribed to the silver package. We're about 1/4 into the annual subscription and yet, there's been no sign of any outtake or a show from the vaults, both of which Jon had announced in the promo video.
Of course, we can always end up saying "it's ok because it's $80 for a whole year". But do we always have to end up with the fact that "the content at least somewhat justified the price"?
If you want to get a business model going, you'd have to have people say "wow that was more/better than what I'd expected" for starters. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure a large number will be gone after year one, even if they continue with the service. Again, it's not about firing out shows and demos day by day, but if a good number of fan channels who do this after-hours can deliver stuff on a weekly basis, then a group of professionals who want to start the fan club JBJ brand back up again, should at least be able to deliver more.

This makes sense and I agree with you in that.....the die-hards will probably not renew after year one. The people that this is aimed at seem happy with it but they tend to be much easier pleased. They should be doing a lot more, no question there. But I also think this side of the fanbase expected way too much out of this project.

I've been thinking, realistically what would they have to do to make the diehards happy for that price point? For me, what they have now plus a handful of shows and let's say...5 unreleased songs. All of which is totally realistic but for whatever reason this fanbase gets ignored hard and I can't understand why we don't get a bone here and there.

You'd want to make a strong first impression that gets people to talk about the whole thing. If over the course of one year some cool stuff gets out, the whole talk about it will be distributed evenly across that time period... which means it will still have less impact than if the talk all occured at once, at the beginning.

The whole affair seems amateurish. I guess that's what you get for letting your boomer relatives run a business in the internet age.

I agree it's early days. I agree it's a year subscription and we will get more... But you've got to grab people early. Its basic business sense. If in the first month, a show or a few outtakes got put out there that we hadn't seen before, I'd probably have contemplated signing up. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one with this mindset too.

This is what I’ve said all along.
You announce you’re taking they “keys back” and make a big deal out of it so open it with a bang. But they haven’t, it’s just plodding along with nothing special . Yes there’s time to make a years subscription worthwhile but those who were holding onto their money were so far right to do so.
The minute an unreleased song pops up I’ll be inserted but until then the money is better in my bank account than Jon’s.

Lots of people have complained there was a 25 second clip put on Twitter by Jon saying it’s basically the same video as they are paying for summing it up n 25 seconds.

Re @liljovi93 comments about Jon looking bored and flat...Jon’s doing what he didn’t want to...go back to the 80s and 90s. For some reason he doesn’t like looking back which is why I’m amazed he took this thing on.
He should’ve employed a super fan to do it someone with enthusiasm for the band.

People want some bang for their buck and they are not getting it (so far).

This "Experience" seems once again like a thing they started without having a plan what to offer. To me it looks like "let's-announce-and-see-what-happens" kind-of-thing and now every once in a while they film Jon how he looks at old stuff because they feel the need to release something just for the sake of releasing.

There's absolutely no question it's aimed at Jerry Braden and his cultish followers.
