It's funny, but they are disaster even to joining videos, since the first two flow well, but the last two have jerks because they have not converted the frames well, from different source (probably a source original of 30 fps). Very sad.

They just had to put some performances that we had not seen of that big vault that Jon boasts. The only great thing is Bed Of Roses live 1993, I had never seen that performance, although as Dominik says, it is familiar to me.

Gotcha. I totally understand that BoR has been shown before but I'm giving them a pass for including it. The percentage of people that have access to it is so damn low. The rest is real ho-hum.

I guess Jon has never seen them before. So technically it's no lie :D :-D:-D

That BOR performance has variations in volume, one for a fraction of a second and then towards the end :-(

This is ridiculous,you upload 4 videos and 3 out of them are very known by fans,and even funnier,2 out of the 4 had been oficially published.
They fooled me once this year,but never again.
That JBJ Experience is a fraud.

Even though the content is getting better, I'm surprised how poor job they did regarding the quality.
Volume skips in Bed Of Roses (cool to show that Richie and even Alec were in the band), Diamond Ring's picture has lines as if it were converted from PAL to NTSC. It's all in 4:3 so Strangers has black stripes at the top and bottom. The picture wasn't restored at all. All that was a 15 minute work :(

I'd love something rarer of course. On the other hand, Misunderstood, Diamond Ring and Strangers are obscure album cuts and that Bed Of Roses is even unknown to us so it's a treat for regular fans.

Well, with three out of four songs having been official singles, I wouldn't call that obscure album cuts :mrgreen:

Just watched the video and Philly is actually a joke. They played there twice that year - in February and in August.
In February - Jon's voice was reasonably good, he went into the crowd to "officiate" at a wedding, declaring the show to a boat ride because a couple would be married for the length of such a ride by the captain. Then they did Bed Of Roses, dedicated to these two fans. Pretty cool:

They came back in August. Jon's voice wasn't in such a good shape anymore. But moreover, this was the ONE show where parts of the lightning rig actually malfunctioned, causing him to be in the dark for many parts of the show. Of course, they choose this one instead of the first one.

Well, I still would. None of them gets played live. Only Misunderstood was a minor hit and got played live in 2003. Diamond Ring appears now and then live and Strangers was a single nobody cared about.

If they went with I'll Be There For You, Make A Memory and Always that would be something different.

Agreed. I at least appreciate they are absolutely lesser-known cuts. I'm glad they're not hits with 50 million version already out there.

i ll be positive and say its a start...i hoped for pro shots from past tours, ktf and these days preferably..the sound problems show little effort, maybe it was a technical problem and they reupload it right.
i hope jon realises he is talking to hardcore fans and all the clips that are on youtube have already be seen again and again...
having said that bed of roses made my day...

Is he, though? What percentage of the old fan-club do you think migrated to this that catalogues shows and remembers things like we do. I'd wager....15%? My gut is these are primarily people from Backstage just happy to get content.

They were aware that those three performances were known to all the fans, damn it, notice how none of those three came out in the teaser video of JBJ Experience.

They know what we know and what we don't. They just don't want to release new things. All of this JBJ Experience is being worse than American XS Platinum. I do not get it. You have a vault, you brag about it, you should launch something unpublished that is worthwhile, your fans have paid for it. You have to be fair and keep your promise.

People from Backstage would be happy if Jon farted into a freezer bag and it got mailed to them. If this is to make any waves outside of the most devoted, they better put up.

It's kinda baffling how they're treating their legacy, too. This year marks 35 years of Slippery. Compare that to how Def Leppard (who I like, but am not a devout fan on) are going on about their past... that Vault thing seems like a GREAT thing. Is the base registration free?

I don't disagree, yeah the Vault stuff has been free so far. But they're also not getting anything NEW, just pictures and talking about the past. I think they have the chance to make this a LOT better and win over old fans but to say this is for the diehard fans is missing the mark.

"WE'RE SHARING MORE FROM THE ARCHIVES IN THE DAYS & MONTHS AHEAD!" makes me a bit hopeful.

I enjoyed those videos especially the '93 Philly even if the sound and video weren't fantastic in spots. Cool seeing Alec and the one thing I kept saying in all the videos is "wow Tico looked so much younger" ha ha! I also rarely rewatch anything once a tour/album cycle is over so it was a cool walk down memory lane.

This is nothing but a complete bunch of shit. All they talk about is the "vault" and then give us 3 songs that were on official releases. They could stick this thing up their ass. This crap should all be free on YouTube and not even part of the JBJ Experience. They basically made us a Playlist. Any Asshole could do this.

Strangers was the same version that's on the LH DVD

Misunderstood was from the official Hammersmith show that's all over YouTube

What we should have received was the entire 1993 Philly Show...

I'm starting to think that Jon could post anything under his own name as long as it's not original new music... I also think he could post anything that's already been officially released by the band.

I do however think that anything new outside of those parameters needs to be approved by the label and/or some type of monetary exchange needs to happen between them.

We're basically going to get limited stuff mixed in with a bunch of fluff to make it look like were getting a bunch of stuff when in actuality, we're really just going to get nothing more than a handful of rarities.

I'm noticing a pattern.

- Rare Jon interviews
- Christmas cover songs
- Already released footage

Oh and 1 rare version of Bed Of Roses.

I really hope I wrong... but this has been the worst 1st quarter of anything I've ever witnessed since Obama's Economy.

Yes, this Bed of Roses IS rare, just because you can find other performances of that song on YouTube doesn't mean this specific performance isn't rare. I get being sour over this, it's been hella underwhelming but I don't get having an issue with them putting out a live version of a hit if it's from a period where a ton of pro-shot stuff wasn't released by them.
