I have to say I find it quite amusing that for the past few posts everyone has been calling Jon a liar and talking about all the things he promised for the experience and how they failed to deliver any of it...

Then...Jon also says he's releasing a Box set with 50 unreleased songs...and suddenly people are getting excited....

Surely by now we all know that what Jon says is going to happen and what actually happens are rarely the same thing...

Also this is 2 years away...anything could happen by then. Will the experience still even exist by then?

If it's announced, I'll be interested...until then, as someone else said...I'll believe it when I see it....

As far as is known it's for a new record. The band and Falcon already got together to record a few new songs back in February!

The new BoxSet is expected for the 40th anniversary of the band, and it consists of demos and outtakes, and lyrics Jon had written and forgot they existed until now, so he is working on it to record those old songs too - well that said, we can tell he does have opened the vaults... He's just not sharing it yet.

I hope this time One To Say Goodbye will be included, it deserves to be in the next box set.

I guess if they are recording stuff for the box set and composing for a new album, would be 2022 would launch a new album + tour and 2023/2024 the box set would launch.

I think 2022 would be a good time to release a new album. I'm sure Jon needs to go on tour, many workers depend on this, he had a tour planned in 2020-2021, but then the pandemic came and stopped everything. The 2020 album will no longer be attractive enough to stoke the fire, so they would need another new album. John Shanks hinted at this at christmas , I think it was on a podcast. So the tour that was finally canceled, will have to come back in 2022, and for this to work they need a new album to make current, and increase the interest of the fans and the general public.

We don't know if it's something for the vaults or a new album, but it seems more the latter, since Billy Falcon and J. Shanks "seem involved" in the composition and writing process, recording..? I don't know.
