Coldplay star says "We're not Bon Jovi yet"
In an interview in the UK's tabloid "The Sun" Coldplay star Chris Martin talks about how big they are becoming.
'Chris only begrudgingly accepts how big the band have become. He says: “We’re not as big as Sade or U2 or even Radiohead in the States but the venues are getting bigger. “Everyone says Oasis didn’t break it but they were really big there for a while. “We’ve been playing places like Kansas, Oklahoma, Boston and all these places most people have only heard about from films. But we’re not Bon Jovi just yet.' Thought I'd show you all this! |
I like that!! Thanks for sharing..shows the difference in how Bon Jovi is percieved and revered.

And Coldplay never WILL be BJ!!
But it's nice they recognise BJ |

if i'm honest
i hate coldplay - and the high pitched so-called singer... i think their music is static and boring and too much of a copy of someone like radiohead (whom i'm also not that keen on)... from what i gather they are very bigheaded about their music, and i was surprised to see the BJ comment... i bet now they were saying we're no BJ - in terms of ticket sales, and venues... rather than talent even though they are not and will never be |

i heard somewhere that in some of their concerts they played songs from britney(!), bon jovi and some others and made some not so good comments about the band. well at least they seem to know their position! |
Their songs are depressing, and they can't sing. Sounds like they where writing songs when contemplating suicide, and recording them with ice in their underwear.
