Todays Headlines.

While hundreds have died in a subway fire in South Korea, tens have died in floods in Pakistan, and war is looming in Iraq, it is good to see that CNN can report the news that matters...

I turned on the TV this morning before I left for work and switched on CNN Headline News. What I was treated to during all of the 20 minutes that I watched it was live footage, from New Jersey, of two men in a rowing boat, trying to save a dog that was trapped on some ice in the middle of a lake. Accompanying this was helpful commentary from the two newsroom reporters, just so the viewer won't get confused over what is happening. From what I can figure, there must've been a CNN helicopter on site since all of the footage seemed to be from far above.

WTF is wrong with your country. If this bullsh1t can make the national news then you have serious problems both in the fact that people obviously watch this sh1t, and the media thinks it is important.

have you ever noticed that the same things get broadcasted as "world news" in britain, too?
BBC makes me sick. It may not be quite as bad as cnn, but it's not far from that

BBC is not that bad but stuff like the regional news is - Granda Tonight, Northwest Tonight etc...

In Britain Channel 4 has become the most respectable news programme - quite right too

BBC news is not bad at all.

Well I assume none of you have seen all the rubbish this week on British News shows, and in the press. David Beckham getting hit in the head with a football boot, kicked by angry Alex Furgoson.

How the hell does that get its way onto the news?

Just a tad- Labour orientated.

ITV is the worst - it comes on without 20 minutes of a film left - so u have to wait another 40 mins just to see the conclusion (By which time I've usaully fallen asleep). & 10 mins is a sepcial about Leonardo Di Crapio or some other punk-ass hollywood icon.

The biggest joke is Trevor-(mr I wanted and finally got recognition from the Queen) Mc Donald and his programme on serious issues...

ie a report comes out with some "breaking" news that children are eating unhealthy, less participation in sports etc...

and they do a feature on it as if they are educating the nation
