Hugh McDonald an official Bon Jovi member to me
 

Hey All!

Hugh McDonald is great!
He must be an official member 'cause he does a great work
He almost tries his best everytime.I think that he is GREAT.
And I get a idea .
Why don't we (YOU and ME) send a e-mail to www.bonjovi.com telling them (The rest of Bon Jovi) we want that Hugh makes an official member?
Maybe if Jon, Richie, Tico and Dave would see that they take importance to it.

Well, it is just my idea, but what do you think about?

Who cares what stands in his contract with Jon? It's his and Jon's decision. And Hugh works for other bands too and probably is happy that he hasn't that much work with photo shoots and sitting around during interviews just as decoration as Tico and David always do.

For the fans he is a part of Bon Jovi. Who cares his contract.

I disagree, but this is a boring argument.

i agree with christine, he himself feels alright and dont have a problem with band, and all of us (fans) know what he had done for bonjovi and all of us know him as a member...he gotta be a member for us, not in the contracts.... :wink:

Well Alec was with the band 11 years

Hugh is currently at about 8/9 as touring bass player... and of those 8 the band haven't been touring or promoting for a good 4-5 years

Oh, gawd... this old argument again. Who cares. Whatever the "arrangement" is that Hugh has with Jon or the band, it's none of our ****in' business and we have no ****in' say in it... so debate it all your want and send all the useless petitions you want but the band is not a democracy - they don't have to listen to what the fans want. This is old already.

Alec is the person who told Richie and Tico about Jon. He was instrumental in the band's formation. Of course, they're going to have a sense of loyalty to him. He helped make Bon Jovi what it is. Whether they make Hugh a member or not is their business, not ours.

Well...it's nice to come here from bonjovi.com and find a few people with similar views!!! Hugh has the opportunity to play with one of the biggest and best bands in the world, has made millions of dollars...AND...he doesn't have to do all the crap promotion or interviews. He may NOT want to be an official member!! But yes, I agree, this is a stupid and boring arguement - as it's nothing to do with anyone except Jon and Hugh.

Do you really think people saying they want Hugh to become an official member mean they want the guy to get a piece paper saying 'congratulations, you are now an official Bon Jovi member'?
Or that they want him to get a higher salary and maybe a company car to go with it??
Well, here's a thought.. maybe they just want to see pictures of the entire band, instead of 4 guys on the album cover and 5 guys on stage... maybe they want to see the bassplayer they're hearing in all the video’s... maybe they want to hear Hugh answer some questions in interviews and at press conferences... Maybe they want him to get as much credit as the rest of the guys in the band...what do you think?
