cameras?
 

hey all..my show is tommorow...oh yah!!! haha sorry..anyway..if i wanna bring a camera, what kind do you all reccomend? i've heard stories of peoples pictures not turning out. Do you reccomend disposable cameras? or flash-less regular ones? i dont wanna spend money and have
A)my pictures not turn out or
b) they take away my camera..thanx in advance

Just take any camera you want and if you are allowed it in then fine, if not just sneak it in.

take a disposable one with flash, and hide it ...

If you use a flash, the pictures will be crappy, and dark and will more than likely not turn out.

Using a flash cancels out all other light, so instead of having stage lights lighting the boys up, just your flash does, and seeing the falsh will more tha likely not be strong enough to light them up, the pictures will turn out dark.

So long story short, no flash. No unless you like 2 feet away from the stage anyway, and still then I wouldn't use one.

Maybe you're right because my camera use the flash if it's necessary "all by itself" :D

OK...well I'll show you guys an example, so you can see what I'm getting at.
Here are some pics I took when the WWE came to australia.
My camera allows me to turn the flash on and off, so i have taht option, but if your camera is an auto, like the above post, well you gotta just cross your fingers.

Note: In the shot with the flash turned ON, the lighting was like it was in the shot with the flash OFF. See how the flash gets rid of the stage lights.. thats a bad thing boys and girls.
Now the shot with the flash on is not too bad there, but I have many more where you can see just some grey blurrs.

That is nonsense, completely untrue. You seem to have jumped to your own crazy theory and stuck to it.

I'm not saying that it cancles out every lght..thats just the easy way of saying it.

There is a lot of technical stuff to consider, such as flash type, flash strenght, distance from target, strength and movement of surrounding lights, what types of lights they are.

It's just in places like concerts, where there are alot of moving, high powered lights, you'll find that an ordinary flash will meet those lights half way, and intern cancel out the beams of light, creating a darkened scene.

And I happen to know what i'm on about to, I'm currently completing a BA of Photography.

how about md-recorders with microphones.. what is the best way to sneak them in?
