Apology to the moderators and and open letter to all

Hello everyone,

Due to some unwelcome postings on the tour board a bit of a grudge match has occurred between myself and another member of the jovi talk community (technically anyway).

I wanted to apologize for the ...... 'colourful' language and less than delightful intentions that were conveyed. A public board is no place to start up rivalries.

I'm glad to see that many of you were on my side, but I do hope that a swift resolution can be found to this situation, and hopefully that will prevent similar situations from arising.

May I suggest a "NO SCALPING" policy for the Tour board (or any board for that matter)????

And the removal of any posts in violation of that policy. We all consider that there is an unwritten rule about this among the fans....why don't we take it to the next leevel and make it an official rule, accompanied by the threat of removal from the board.

There needs to be a way to prevent these things from happening on our board.

Let's try to maintain this wonderful free speech forum for Jovi fans...but at the same time honor some necessary rules.

Let me know what you all think.

I don't know what happened, but at the end of your post you said "let me know what you all think",
well i'd just like to say if each time there's some trouble on the boards, people were doing like you, it will be great ...
Apologize is always a good thing, or a good start sometimes ...

I too have no idea what happened, but it sounds awful. I think what you suggested is a good idea. Im all for free speech, but when it comes to a bitter fights and slagging each other off depending on our opinions is wrong.

Mike, I don't know if you moderators can actually ban ppl from here or delete their usernames, but I would strongly suggest that if you can't do it, please ask Peter to get rid of this particular pest. We don't need this kind of insults here.

Thank you.

This is an example of what I would like to see removed from the board--not because it is an attack against me, but because posts like this are not even remotely connected to any reasons we have for visiting this message board.

I think that unsavoury characters such as John Jovi should either take it upon themselves and refrain from posting, or else be forcibly removed from the board by the moderators.

It really makes posting a very unpleasant, albeit somewhat entertaining, for many of us.

I hope that now we can move forward and grow as a community of Jovi fans.

Sorry if I sound a little political--but the best argument is often a well articulated one and I can't help but thank John Jovi for so generously helping me get my point across (impecable timing lad).

Thanks to everyone for reading and tanks to the moderators for getting rid of scalpers as best they can.

Do you know what's funny? When you mentioned scalping, John Jovi came to my mind right away. He was trying to scalp tickets last week. So if someone disagrees with him, he takes to insults? He should fit right in.
