Hyde Park 2003 ( Becky )

Ok I've been to the Bonjovi at Shepard's Bush & Wembley 2002 but this will be my first full concert and I can't wait. I also believe Hyde's Park will make it an unbelievable experience but I have a few queries.

1. What time do u think I should be queueing up at - I have only the normal £35 tickets so I want to get as close as possible to the front of tis section.

2. What should I bring cos I know its a long day!! Are we allowed bags in with food, drink and cameras or is the security going to be even tighter ??

3. Anyway of knowing where the band will be staying to see whether we can get to meet or at least get autographs??

4. How easy is it to get back to your original standing position??

If anyone can help that would be great!! How about u Becky, u seem well informed about everything!!??

The arrangements at venues in Europe and in the US are very different, so I think asking Sambo-Chris would be more appropriate than Becky.

If you want to get close (depending on how close you mean) to the stage, you have to be there EARLY. Walking in five minutes before the show won't give you good standing places.

Food, drinks etc. aren't allowed inside the venues, but you can always take a few sugar cubes in your pocket, to give you energy through the standing. Outside the venue you can of course eat/drink.

And if you walk off the ground, you can be sure that you won't be able to hold your place. You will have to go to the back of the arena.

Please don't ask about hotels or the bands' accommodation, or your post will be locked. That's something to be discussed privately.

Hope I was of any help.

I appreciate the question being asked of me, but since I am in the USA, I'm not an appropriate choice. Although I have gone to GA shows before and it's the same thing--get there WAY early if you want to be close. I can tell you that cameras will probably be fine because it seems everyone I know in Europe always winds up with great shots! They also tell me you better get to your place and stay there so don't drink or eat a lot, but take some water so you won't get dehydrated.

I'm sure Christine can tell you more. She's a European Tour Queen!!

I only made 2 concerts in England yet so I can't say very much. The Hyde Park Venue is huge so if you want to get to the front you must be there really early I guess.

Because of photo cameras,it varies. Most of the times small cameras without a zoom are okay.

Take enough water with you but in plastic bottles or tetra-packs, not in cans or glass bottles because these are forbidden. In Wembley and Shepherd's Bush we could take water in plastic bottles with us, they only took away the closure for some strange reasons that I don't know. I never heard that food is forbidden.

Sorry, this probably doesn't help very much but as I said I was in London last year for the first time for a concert.

As the others said, if you want a good space at the front be there early and that means early am. When we went to the OWN 2001 tour we got there before just before 8am qued all day and were in front of Richie on the front row every time.
You cant take bottles in, as they take lids off the bottles(for safety reasons). Food is fine you can take anything in.
As long as its not a camera with an attachment you'll be fine.
Getting back to your space, lmao everyone moves forward as soon as someone moves but you can get there eventually. I'd suggest do everything before you go in to see the show, everyone sat down once we were in the Superbowl at MK so we went for a walk it was pretty easy getting back to where we were.
