Rock 'n roll dream

" Every little boy wants to learn to play guitar
So he can pick up all the chicks
And be a rock-n-roll star "

Every child used to dream about being a rockstar in the past, do you think that nowadays children still have this dream ?
Tell me your opinion.

My son is nearly 6 years old and all he thinks about is Football, Football, Football........ He has his own guitar but never plays it, maybe when he gets older he'll figure out that there is more money (and girls!) to be made being a rock star!

I really wish this was the case (maybe it is in Australia), but in England it's the opposite. Nobody wants to know the guy who has long hair, and plays keyboards in his own rock band...... However, footballers seem to get the girls no problem........ I think I'm gonna have to live somwhere else!

Maybe my son is not old enough (7.5), but one of his favorite game since he's 2, it's playing guitar, but not for the girls, when you ask him he replies, girls shout too loud ! and he's in love with Julie (they were 3 at the beginning of their story)...
But he wants a Ferrari or an Aston Martin, and when you ask him why, he says the girls gonna look at him !! :)

Rock is out of fashion, so no , very few kids want to be a rock star now. Unless you count the new grundge stuff, but I dont class this as rock.

However what comes around goes around and one day rock with rule again.

I've been brought up with rock and roll as well, and I prefere Britney.... oh wait, now I see, you were talking about her music :D

On a serious note you did well, educating your child in rock and roll is the most important thing they'll ever learn. Even if she does prefere Britney, she likes Bon Jovi as well, which is more than 99.9999% of Britney fans, so you should consider this an achievement!!!!!

Although I will point out, that when I have a child, he or she will ONLY listen to rock music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
