Review of Montreal Show, Feb 21st
As you guys might notice this is my first post here, so I want to take this opportunity to say hello to everyone out there, especially BJ fan in Montreal.
I've decided to dedicate my first post to do a review of the last BJ Concert in Montreal: Friday, Feb,21st 2003, Bounce Tour. Why? I went to the show and it was amazing even if the montreal paper gave pretty crappy critique to BJ. Here are the reason why you should not listen to want the papers said: 1. the ambiance was amazing. Now, I don't want to sound like in preaching fro my home town, but Bon Jovi always had a great relation with Montreal. People here love BJ, the album are always selling well, every local radio in town play a lot of BJ. Bj always make the top 10 of the local radios. So as soon as BJ played the first song ( you give love a bad name), everybody in the crowd left their seats and started dancing and singing. Remember here that we are talking about a sold out concert or 16,000 people. 2. BJ played great variety of song. From a big part of Bounce (Misunderstood, everyday, bounce, hook me up, right side of wrong) to Slippery when Wet ( raise your hand, wild in the street, you give love a bad name, livin' on a prayer...) to NJ(bad medecine, born to be my baby, lay your hand on me), to keep the faith( In these arm, I'll sleep when I'm dead) to Crush( it's my life, Just older, One wild night). They also played Someday I'll be Saturday night, I don't like monday, Twist and shout...The only thing misssing is These Days, from what i remember they only played Hey God... 3. The show lasted for a good 2 and 1/2 hours with 3 encore! So that's 2 1/2 hours of pure energy and pure pleasure. 4. the stage set-up was great as you saw if you went to a Bounce show. The only minor incidents of the show are: 1) when a fan succeded to bypass security and ran on the stage 2) when Jon left the stage for a song while the band and Ritchie sang I'll be there for you. Althought Ritchie was amazing, it was pretty strange. But, hey, I guess Jon had to go and take a break! So that was the last news from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Hope to get comments from you. |
Hey God?? Alright!!! I simply adore that song but they just don't do enough of it live! Now if only they'll bring back dry county
|
hummm...heh you WERE at the show right? ;) only kidding..a few notes
- They opened with Bounce, not You give love a bad name - They didn't play Hey god, or One Wild Night, lay your hands on me, I don't like mondays... but im glad you had a fun time! |
Oups! mymistake
O.k. sorry I acknowledge the mistakes. thanks a lot!
But I still trying to figure out if they did play a song from These Days, 'cause I thought they did??? Do you remember the cover they did at the end of the show, I know they did twist and shout, but what else? |
They played Damned according to the setlists.....I saw the song performed in Toronto and so far Canadians have been the only people lucky enough to get this song. Don't know if that was the plan, or if it is jsut some weird coincidence.
