Red Nose Day
Anyone doing any fundraising, or do you just plan to sit and watch it on BBC all night, lol.
|
I'm not doing no fundraising :P
We did that in Barnsley two years ago. We all dressed up and went through the class rooms bugging all the teachers LOL  One even gave us 20 quid and we were on telly because we raised so much money :D those were the days 8) |
Our high school did anual "fun-walks", which raised money for the school.
I remember one year in particular, I probably didn't raise more than £4 or £5 (with sponsor forms), but I probably spent about £15 on my costume; I hired a Darth Vader one, complete with cape and mask. For anyone who's never tried one of those masks, don't. They get hot and sweaty within minutes. I would have hated to be David Prowse, who somehow managed to wear a mask for 3 movies...lol. |

my friend dressed up as a cowboy, she looked right silly  me, i went for the jovi-fan option :P  |

can anyone tell me what red nose day is????? never heard of this...

Have you watched Pro 7 lately? There you see commercials for it. You go into several shops (in Germany it's HL and another Supermarked plus Burger King) and buy a red nose, it's like a nose that clowns wear. With every nose that is sold you donate something for children. On march 14 there is on Pro 7 a TV show with some German singers, like Nena, Sasha, Udo Lindenberg for example in honor of this.
I hear of it this year for the first time but when I read this thread I got the feeling it exists for a few years now. |
