Moscow Peace Festival 1989
Does anyone have a full setlist of this concert? The festival lasted for two days, did BJ play both nights? Even better, does someone have this whole concert (or at least BJ part) on video? I have seen parts of that concert but not the whole thing! It would be great to see it!

I personally don't have it but as far as I know it was released on video. I've seen it several times offered at eBay.

Yes, I've seen it too but it's not their whole performance as far as I know. Because I know some songs they played there that are not on the video on eBay.

There was a two volume official video release of the concert. I have them both. But its a mix an match of both nights. The vol 1 features Bon Jovi, Skid Row , Cinderella and a jam sesssions with all the musicians and vol 2 features Scorpions, Motley, Ozzy and Gorky Park.
The video features 5 jovi songs LYHOM, Blood, Wanted [and I think Prayer and Wild in the streets...haven't watched it in a while]. Plus you see the boys jamming on Hound Dog. It also has snippets of the band in moscow and Jon and Richie jamming with some local band in a club and playing acoustic on the streets. |
I have this official video with Bon Jovi and I have one taken from TV.
The one from tv includes Jon and Richie playing wanted on the streets. Real cool. Marijke |
I always wondered about this myself..what the full set was besides the 5 songs that appear on the VHS. I don't know if the Pay Per View had more either.
While there is plenty of Bon Jovi resources on the net....Bon Jovi information regarding details, concerts, reviews aren't very plentiful. Someone should change that. It's like the dark ages for information on anything Bon Jovi pre These Days other than lyrics and discography. Just trying to find great concert photos online before then is also not very forthcoming. I remember a magazine piece done on them during the Slippery era.....one of the photos was a great shot from behind Jon atop of the platform behind the drum riser with the columns of sparks going off with Jon's fist in the air at the beginning of Raise Your Hands. You don't see photos of things like that on the net. |
oh yeah....the MTV broadcast of it just had Wild in the Streets and an edited version of Blood on Blood.
The VHS release had Lay Your Hands On Me, Wild In The Streets, The full version of Blood On Blood (11 minutes long,) Wanted Dead or Alive and Living on a Prayer. Plus Hound Dog as a jam with the others (Jon sings first verse, Tom Kiefer the 2nd, Klause Meine the 3rd) The Pay Per View...as I said...I don't know what was all included or how much more was shown of the concert. Yes they played both nights. |

Oh yes..thank you. I have been to that site.
There are a couple of photos from the 80s....but very few. It still stands that anything pre 1995 is almost the dark ages information wise. Tour Dates are simple.....it only documents dates....not details (set lists...reviews...pictures....technical details..blah..blah) If not for Tour Dates, some odds and ends photos, and discography/lyrics on web sites......you'd think Bon Jovi began in 1995 instead of 1984. |
There is a site somewhere that lists all the Bootlegs available (loads from pre-1995) - this has setlists & descriptions on. Unfortunately I no longer have it - it was in my favourites when my computer was fixed.
