Mikes thought of the day - Since when did Diplomacy.....
Mean - we want this to happen & if everyone disagrees - we're gonna do it anyway & blame it on a breakdown of Diplomacy???
Since when did Diplomacy mean getting to War ASAP??? Why am I taken to be an idiot?? (Don't answer that one  ) Mike |
( sorry for USA Citizen  ) but I think that USA always defined diplomacy as doing what they want without any consideration for the opinion of the other nations!!!!

Ok I kind of feel I should back with solid proof what I'm saying...
but there's my list to prove USA doesn't want to be part of an international community: -USA never signed the INternational treaty to be part of the Internationa l court of justice -USa is one of the country that assert extra-territorial jurisdiction the most. example: try to judge court's case that belong in other country. -USA and the Digital Millenium Copyright Act are trying to get jurisdiction(power ) over what happen in other country if they think a USA sofware might be copied.... ( still don't get me wrong I'm not anti-USA, because my country and Canada are good business friends but sometimes USA should think about the international community before acting!!!) |

Excuse me while I go kick my students around so I can get into bullying mode. Heeheeh. Look, I am not saying I am for or against this war, but the UN is a joke. I mean, they have gotten nothing accomplished. They want time....how much time is Saddam supposed to get. He is a murderer and a wack job to boot. More time to kill more innocent people in Iraq. More time to develop weapons of mass destruction. :? Is War the answer...I haven't decided yet. I don't think we have the right to just go in there and demand to do things our way either. I am torn. I already know the answer to the above, the USA and England will be killing innocent Iraqi people too. I am quite aware of this. But, when is the cycle of Saddam going to end??? More important, how? |

My response to that is you are neglecting the fact we let any foreigner in here to live "The American Dream." We supply them jobs, if not they collect welfare. Which we gladly give them. They are educated in our schools. We have seperate programs funded by the state to help them learn the English language. If you don't learn it, that is okay too, because every money machine these days is in 6 different languages. They bring their traditions and values here, so we are forced to not mention our own. **Can't say Christmas anymore** They set up towns with all of their culture, ex. stores, food marts, etc. They run every 7-11 and gas station in NJ. :P Hey, I am all for making a better life for yourself. But don't forget the USA is helping them do it. As far as the international community goes, they are taking over here and leading a pretty good life. I wish we would mind our own business more and start worrying about HERE rather than the rest of the world. God knows we need to. :D ** I am not bitter about the above, although it may sound that way. I am just stating what is happening. [/quote] |
yeah Canada do all the above an welcome immigrants!!! but that is not what I meant by participating into an international community.
Participating into an international community is to consult the other nation befor emaking big decision that can affect the whole world. its is TO NOT make UNILATERAL decision on affairs relating to international matters. |

Didn't mean to take that out on you. |
I do acknowledge the good... and I can understand your frustration a a USA citizen to be bash for bad things without acknowledging that good exist.
the moral might be that usually there can be good and bad in everything, including the USA!  |
