More Details about Jon on Extra
 

The Extra segment that aired over the weekend included a couple of short clips of Jon singing at the Rumson Fairhaven High School fund raiser for the Parker Family Clinic and some longer clips of Jon talking. He said that the people who go to the clinic were not the kind of people you would see on a TV campaign but that they were "our neighbors, our elderly, and our children." He also encouraged the students to "Volunteer. It's a big world out there, so think globally, act locally, and anything you can dream can be." Or something close to that! I may not have the exact quote. Jon also told how he'd gotten a letter from Chris Harris who was in an honor club asking if he would do something. The announcer commented that Chris had done his homework. (Jon and Dorothea raised a lot of the money to build the clinic.) Chris and two girls talked about how excited they were. They showed a little bit of Love for Sale and Prayer. Dave and Hugh were playing too.
