The Jersey Jams, Jersey Cares Fund is the New Jersey music scene's reaction to terrorism in the form of a United Way music education program for New Jersey children. Their aim is to fight terrorism with the healing power of musicand enrich children with its positive impact. As the nation drifts to war and the state considers cutting $32 million in arts funding, The Jersey Jams Fund has responded with the statewide Jersey Jams, Jersey Cares ‘All You Need Is Love’ Fest. The eight-concert series of Beatles tributes by New Jersey artists will celebrate the 40th anniversary of "Please Please Me" and the 34th anniversary of John & Yoko’s first Bed-In for Peace. Produced by many Jersey music scenesters, the shows will raise money for a music scholarship fund for the New Jersey Children of 9/11. Jersey Jams Fund has awarded nearly $15,000 in music scholarship to about 20 children between the ages of 4 and 16 with money raised from its Jersey Jams, Jersey Cares charity compilation and benefit concert series, as well as from corporate donations.
