Is there too much Spam on this board??
 

Having to read 600 posts a day when I get home from work I have come to realise the amount of Spam that is being posted on this board.

Posts being converted from meaningful topics - into really random pointless small talk....

In fact - probably over half is stuff I have to sift through would be better suited to MSN...

I know I have been guilty of this in the past.... However just wondering if anyone else has noticed??? & if ppl r spamming to get their posts up....
It justs seems like sometimes your r reading conversations between about 3 ppl - all the time, instead of Posts about stuff!!

Anyone else noticed this or have any views???

This topic has been brought up numerous times by other people. People respond to it, saying that they agree, but then just forget about it and turn threads into their own chatroom shortly afterwards.

Yes, I've noticed that and yes, it's very annoying sometimes :/ But dont' think there's much you can do about it...

Yeah, too much spam! Sometimes there's people who just say a couples of words on some other languages - why don't they use the PM?! And it annoys me that everytime someone is testing, there will always come MANY people who'll say I like your avater or something - too many people. And also when there's a new member, there's 1000000 people who say the same thing: "Hello and welcome".....

Oh, was i mistaking that for common courtesy and hospitality?

and i just got back from a thread where a chat was going on -- i didn't even reply to the original reason why i opened it. :roll:

Spam happens...i don't think it's going to stop...it's like some out of control grandma cake mix that just keeps growing and growing and growing until it devours the whole kitchen.

I'm not saying that it's bad to say hello and welcome to the new members, I'm just saying that's it's pretty annoying that almost half of the board is saying the same thing. I just mean that the first "Hello and welcome" should be enough... And yes, spam will never stop....

I think there are TOO many polls appearing over absolutely nothing. Spam hmmmmmmmmmmmm lets see, yeah once the topic has been talked about someone says something someone else agrees and then it turns into a nice friendly conversation between a couple of people which could be done by pm or msn.

yes.....spam is becoming very boring in my eyes and im tired of seeing it....especially when its a couple pages worth
