a cure for the hiccups???
Right now I have them, and they are killing me. Why oh why did I have them get them??? Each hiccup is causing untold amounts of pain on my week old stitches....WHYYYYYYY.
Sorry, I had to complain. |
I know of two cures
First one is hold your breath...which never works for me Second one always works for me. Block your ears and have a drink (easier done with a straw) Also they say if you get a shock or surprise they will go. Hope they go soon! |
These may sound strange...
Swallow a spoon full of sugar. or... Drink water upside down. Place yourself in the bathtube and bend over - then drink.. well backwards. That one always seemed to help me. Hehe. GOOD LUCK! 'Cause hiccups stink. |
Put some water (or any drink I guess) in your mouth, then bend over so your head is upside down and swallow it. That's the only thing that ever works for me.

i have heard that when you have hiccups someone is thinking of you :P
|
I'm sorry i don't know any good cures :( I hope you get rid of them though, because they can be annoying for you and the people around you.
Are yours like mine? When you get them, they go away - but then they come back a little later...then go away...then come back...then go away...then come back...then on and on for about a day or two? If so, i'm so sorry!!! If not, YOUR LUCKY!!! |
best cure is just to breathe slowly and deeply and divert your attention
|
yeah, I have the type that you think are gone then 10mins later they are back again.
And it really sucks, I can't do any of the bending over thing...I just had a breast reduction surgery this past monday (the 17th) and I can't bend over. Each and every hiccup just sent shooting pains all over. Oh well, they are gone now. I guess it happened when my 17lb monster cat tried to crawl up on my chest. by the way...it hurts to screaml too. lol |
