a question?

y has the thread about the war and protesters been deleted? seems that its ok for everyone to have anti war tags and write anything they want against it but whenever anyone says they're for it, everyone jumps on them.

kinda ironic since democracy and freedom of speech is what we're fighting for.

They've been deleted?! Okay, come on guys! People have opinions! Why are you taking away people's own opinions? It doesn't make sense.
...people make me confused sometimes.

As the moderator team seems to be split regarding the war issue, I modified the board so that every action by the moderators and myself is being logged: deleting posts & topics, moving topics, editing posts and so on.

The system has been in place for just over a day now. and while the log shows some post have been edited. no posts or topics have been deleted.

Yes but if one was the allied army thing then rightly so, that was completly out of order.

Apparently that was before the logging system was implemented...

I figure, as I dont like talking about the war, that its okay for people to have opinions and to voice them. As long as I am not bombarded by people what side to be on and whatnot, im fine.

Its nice in my little bubble, and I dont want it cluttered with things that make me sad.

Fair enough to a certain point, but its being a little ignorant of problems that need attention and not inaction.

Take it to the morderators. You should have PM'd them first, then if they couldn't help you, then make a fuss on the board. By doing it the way you have, you've just shown that you want to make your point, but doint realy want to resolve it, you want somethign to complain about.

I do enjoy discussing the pro war ones as well. However, I did read two very racist posts on the topic in mind, and some rarther rash, unsubstanciated controversial comments.

if the full thread wasnt deleted then it must have just been my post. point being wether people ragard it as racist or not it's still taking away someones opinion. if it is the post that i'm thinking about then yes it was close to the border of decency with regards to the point i brought up about the majority of the protesters who were more bothered about being anti american than anti war but it was true and i think that not being able to say whats happening because some people may be offended and think it is racist is bullshit.
