I built this for my product design course. As you can see, the design changed during making, but is basically the same as I planned it.

Seems like a nice enough handle so far. I've read into making one myself when trying to find a good project to do for this year. Have you managed to get a glow out of it yet? I know you can't make a real one that would cut someone in half, because you'd need plasma, and that only really exists in theory. Although you could create a similar effect with powerful lasers, but you'd have to be careful not to blind yourself or other people by looking straight down it.
