Question about the Howard Stern interview...
 

First off, thanx to diane for posting it :) very nice!

I was wondering what happened with the scored bonkakke party
and what is the story behind the feud between the guys and Stern that they speak of in the interview. I had always thought they were all good friends.

It's been at least 10 years since I listened to the tapes, but I think it was over someone scheduling Jon to call into two NY stations at the same time (Z-100 and WPLJ) and the station Howard was on was the one he didn't know about or couldn't call. Howard got mad over it and started slamming the guys because he'd been there since the beginning for them. They made up in 1992 on Howard's birthday show party and the guys played "With a Little Help from my Friends" for him. It boiled down to a misunderstanding and a little thing being blown out of porportion. Jon and Howard are friends outside the public eye (and Howard has said Jon is one of the few people who will associate with him off the air when they're not getting something from him). Jon is one of the very few people Howard seems to respect. So, whatever it was is bygones now.
