Thanks, great leader George W. Bush. Thanks for showing to all the danger that Saddam Hussein represents. Maube many of us had forgotten that he used chemical weapons against his people, the Kurds, the Iranians. Hussein is a bloody dictator, one of the clearest expressions of the evil nowadays. However this is not the only reason for which I´m being thankful to you. In the two first months of 2003, Mr. was capable to show many important things to the world, and therefore you deserves my gratitude. Thus, remembering a poem that I learned in infancy, I want to say thanks to you.
Thanks for showing to the Turkish people that his Parliament is not for sale, nor for 26 billion dollar.
Thanks for reveal to the world the gigantic abyss that exists between the decision of the governing and the desires of the people. For showing that how Jose María Aznar and Tony Blair don´t give the minimum importance and respect for the votes that they received. Aznar is able to ignore that 90% of the spanish people are against the war, and Blair does not import with the biggest public manifestation in England in these 30 last years. Thanks because your perseverance forced Blair to go to the Parliament with a counterfeited dossier, written for a student ten years ago, and to present this as "forceful tests collected by the British private service". Thanks for making with that Colin Powell displayed to ridicule, showing to the Advice of Security of the ONU some photos that, one week later, were contested by Hans Blix, the responsible overseer for the disarmament of Iraq. Thanks because your position made with that the minister of Foreign affairs of the France, Mr. Dominique de Villepin, in his speech against the war, had the honor of being applauded in the plenary assembly, honor that, for that I know, had only happened a time in the history of the ONU, for occasion of a speech of Nelson Mandela.
Thanks because your efforts for the war, result that for the first time the Arab nations, generally divided, had been unanimous in condemning an invasion, during meeting in the Cairo. Thanks because your rhetoric affirming that "the ONU has a possibility to show its relevance", more reluctant countries had exactly finished taking position against an attack.
Thanks for your foreign policy to have done the minister of Foreign affairs of England, Jack Straw, to declare in full century 21 that "a war can have moral justifications" e, when declaring this, losing all his credibility. Thanks for trying to divide an Europe that fights for its unification; this was an alert one that it will not be ignored. Thanks for having obtained what few had obtained in this century: to join millions of people, in all the continents, fighting for the same idea, even so this idea is opposing to yours. Thanks for making we feel that even if our words are exactly not heard, them at least they are sharp, and this in will give us more force in the future.
Thanks for ignoring us, for keeping out of society all those that had taken an attitude against your decision, therefore is of excluded people the future of the Earth. Thanks because without you, we would not have known our capacity of mobilization. Maybe it does not apply for the present but it will be useful in the future. Now that the drums of the war seem to sound in a irreversible way, I want to make mine the words of one old european king to an invader: " I hope that morning will be pretty for you, I hope that the sun shines in the armors of your soldiers, because during the afternoon I will defeat it ".
Thanks for allowing to all us, an army of anonymous that take a walk for the streets trying to stop a process already in march, to take knowledge by what is the impotence sensation, learning to deal with it and transforming it.
So enjoy your morning and all it´s glory.
