Operation 'ONE FOR LOVE' -- Send a Bounce CD!

Please, if you're thinking of contributing any negative comments to this thread, please don't... just ignore it.

Cindy (JoviGirlAz) from Backstage started this.

Operation 'One for Love' is underway, send a copy of 'Bounce' to our troops. We are going to be working with KLIF talk radio www.klif.com out of Dallas, TX. They are going through a company in Los Angeles, CA called OIdelivers, their website is www.oidelivers.com. I have been speaking with Heather Gooze at the radio staion, she gave us the green light to send in our Bounce cd's to them (she was very excited by the way), they will then add them to their care packages that have been approved. KLIF talk radio has a 5 month deal with OIdelivers, so we can do this for at least 5 months. If you want to send a copy of 'Bounce' to the troops this is what you have to do:

Mail your Bounce cd to:
Heather Gooze
c/o Operation KLIF Care Packages
3500 Maple Ave
16th Floor, Suite 1600
Dallas, TX 75219

This is going to be a GREAT thing...Please send as many copies as you are able too. If you have any questions you can email me at jovigalaz@cs.com. Thanks to everyone for all your help getting this going.

You may also write a note along with any CDs you send, but make sure it isn't sealed in an envelope for security reasons.
Thank you so much for helping out our troops..

I'm not against it, just curious: what is this good for?

First of all, the title came from the lyric in Undivided.

We thought that the optimism in Bounce would be something that the soldiers and troops could use right now.

in fact i'm sorry - i can't keep quiet...

why not advocate mass piracy and we can all send cd-rs and save a lot of money... the band wouldn't like that...

ok since the album didn't sell that well why don't the band donate the copies

Compare "songs that won the war" WW2 to this...

WW1 trenches : both sides singing silent night call and response and applauding each other... xmas eve stopping fighting, mixing with troops on the other side, football, exchanging family pictures

that is the only beautiful aspect, only poetic aspect i know of war...

Bounce would just be wrong in so many ways

and you're saying something constructive with this are you??

why do you think we SHOULD send Bounce then ?

this sounds like the type of thing the band's management have decided... what's the point in scarring an already tarnished band's reputation by capitalising on the war with record sales?
