What does Jon do while Richie sings?

Where does he go? Does he stay up? I won't be able to see them so please tell me.

At the Tampa concert two weeks ago, while Richie was singing, Jon went backstage to change into another shirt and towel off his hair. Afraid I wasn't privy to any bathroom information. :P

At the Mohegan Sun show, Jon just moved to the back of the stage, playing guitar. Stayed out of the lights and let Richie have it all. I wish Richie would get a few more to sing, he has a fabulous voice.
