Ticket prices

I' m not one to complain much but I've been a BJ fan for as long as I can remember and have their cd's and have been to their shows the past 3 times they've been in town. I was excited to see they were coming to Indiana until I saw ticket prices were $95.00!!!!!! $95.00 for Bon Jovi??????!!!!! I e-mailed ticketmaster to see if this was correct and they said, "Yes, the band tells us what to charge." I guess I didn't realize the band was financially hurting so bad they have to screw their fans. This totally turns me off from being a fan and they can stick their music and their tour where the sun don't shine!!!!!

Compare the price to prices that other bands take and you see that they don't rip you off.

Hmm...

...I heard the $95 price and thought it was a rumor, too. My question is this: is the $95 charge for lower pavilion seating in these outdoor amphitheatres? Because I remember when Lenny Kravitz went on tour and there was a huge controversy because he was charging $75 per ticket for every single seat in the house -- whether you were within the first 10 rows or the last row.

I have to admit -- $95 for Bon Jovi does seem pretty steep. $65-75 was their usual norm for tours in the last few years, so I'm pretty surprised that the price has been hiked to $95. This will inevitably mean that ticket brokers will jack up their prices even higher. :(

but $95 are a lot of money :(
in germany you can almost get two tickets for that price

Was that 95 dollars before or after ticketmaster added their cut? Always remember as much as bands say they care about their fans, the bottom line is this is a business. They charge 95 bucks because they know people will pay it.

in UK the dearest tickets are generally £30 (which is way too expensive in my opinion)

then you get:

Springsteen - very expensive & same for BJ
Eagles - nostalgia tour
Paul McCartney - nostalgia tour

$95 isn't that bad. Eagles tickets are going for $125. Ozzfest is $108.25. It's not as if you can't get cheaper tickets if you're willing to sit somewhere other than the best seats.

prices in general have just gone completely ridicuolous

just 3 or 4 years ago the dearest show i'd ever been to was springsteen at £35

now that's become the minimum

It's not just Bon Jovi - All bands our doing it.

The lame excuse is that because they no longer make money on album sales because of people downloading. It's BS, but what can you do?

I hate it too - Hell - I've gone to 4 shows already this year, and I've got 4 more to go to - That's $800 (just for myself.)
