QVC broadcast details

Let me see what I can remember. Lonn Friend co-hosted part of the show. He talked about how Bon Jovi is one of the greatest bands in the world. The woman he was hosting with had previously worked in radio and met Jon in 1988 and said he was the nicest rock star she had ever met. Lonn said that the humilty that comes across from Jon is real and that people picked up on his realism and that was part of the appeal of the band.

Jon and Tico were interviewed together and took a couple of calls from people who didn't have questions. They were asked how the band got along. They joked that they hated each other, then clarified that they were like brothers and knew more about each other than they did their brothers and sisters. They compared the band to a marriage that had lasted for 20 years. Jon said that the guys had faith in him 20 years ago and it had been an amazing ride. He said that it's hard to get into that inner circle.

Later Richie and Dave were interviewed together and there was a lot of trouble with them being able to hear the phone calls. The hostess mentioned that they hadn't forgotten their roots and Richie said he'd forgotten all his roots. Dave said they just colored them now. Richie said that Jon was one of the best frontmen in the business, probably THE best.

A little later Jon, Richie, Dave, and Tico were all interviewed together and they took a call from a girl in Alabama who asked when they were playing in Birmingham. Jon said, "Good question. Not this leg of the tour. Maybe next time." PFFFFTTTT. Yeah, and maybe they'll play in my back yard the day after they play in Birmingham. They said the show was never the same twice because the people were always different. They played Misunderstood before the show ended.

The hostess asked "what if there's someone out there who wants to be a big star like you?" and Jon said, "What all Five foot NINE of me?" I've been telling people for ages that HE says he's 5'9"! LOL Now maybe that he said it on something with a little bigger audience than The Charlie Rose show, people will believe it.

That's all I can remember at the moment.

It was a stupid question anyway, if you wanted to ask something good ask them why they don't tour all around the world. Don't ask them about Birmingham when they come to your country for about 3 times or so.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

  I'm feeling you Becky. We do have Atlanta...although I am much closer to Atlanta than you. Maybe there was a hint in his comment that might be more Southeastern datesa?? By the way, I don't want to be nosy and ask what city you live in Becky, but what is the biggest city closest to you where you live. For instance, I live only 200 miles southwest of Atlanta.

You forgot to mention that Lonn consistantly made fun of the QVC girl which she completely didn't understand and continued babbling on so fast you couldn't see her mouth move. And then near the end she looked at me with the devil stare while she was talking about the discs. I bet her head began to spin and sputter just before they cut away. Poor Lonn...well, poor is probably not the word I am looking for but...

Oh God, I watched QVC for an hour, and I am gonna be there again at 11 30...I am a tool, but oh, it feels so good to be used!

I don't think there was a hint of anything, just that "Maybe" is the diplomatic way to say "Maybe not." LOL I'm closest to Jackson. But there's not really a good place for concerts there. Acts do play at the collesium, but the sound is terrible.
