I just read that u2 are being lined up to headline a concert in Times Sq on Sept 5th- same as that Bon Jovi in Times Square rumor a while ago! must ve true - EXCELLENT!!! :o

U2 won't steal anyone's thunder. They're not involved in the show. The news that ran today was all about Bon Jovi headlining and some places even claimed U2 was never involved. Sucks that they stole the thunder during the announcement though... they won't steal the show, but Bon jovi shoulda gotten the huge announcement.

NFL made it perfectly clear that Bon Jovi was headlining. NFL also stated that U2 has not even being contacted AT ALL. Where did NY Post get this U2 information from? Who knows maybe U2 publicity team misinformed this gossip newspaper intentionally to get U2 in the spotlight once again. I wouldn't be surprised.

I think U2 is classier and more professional than that. There's alot of Bon Jovi versus U2 debate among fans but I doubt they planted that info...
