Saw them last month. I actually went to see Sebastian Bach, who was opening for GNR. It turned out great for me, cause as usual, Axl acts like a spoiled superstar who has no respect for people who bought tickets, and was 90 minutes late. So Sebastian played a few more songs for us, yay

Axl's attitude aside, it was a pretty good concert. Can't remember the last time I went to a show that lasted close to 3h. If I didn't know better, I'd have thought it was the original band back together playing live. The sound was excellent, Axl's voice sounded great as well, although all the extras felt at times over the top. Led projections, pyrotechnics, fire explosions, conffetis at the end, you name it. Chinese Democracy was the opener and you can expect all the classics, guitar solos, and to be fair, Axl seemed to be in pretty good shappe. I wasn't there to see them and ended up enjoying it.

Take cards or dominoes though, cause you'll be in for a long wait haha

I saw them about 3 years ago and will be seeing them again next month. They were great - Axl was in fine form, they didn't come on too late and Sebastian Bach joined them onstage for "My Michelle". The only critique I had were the extended "solos" by various band members while Axl Rose went AWOL. All in all though, a great show and good value for money.

Seeing them tomorrow night...I heard they got on stage 2 hours late in Townsville, I hope they don't pull the same shit in Adelaide. Thankfully I have the following day off of work just in case.

maybe you'll get lucky and he'll only be 1h.30m late like in lisbon
you know what he was doing? taking a nap backstage. how could he be taking a nap during sebastian's concert is beyond my comprehension, but there you go.

I am actually reading Slash's book and none of Axl's behaviour will surprise me. Still he is one of my favourite singers but chose not to see him/them when they played in London as I wanted to keep the image from the last time I saw them.

Saw them in March, with Bach opening.

They were hours late.

The only reason I attended is because I didn't have the chance to see the original Gn'R. Still a decent show.

Best regards,
the Sexx

I saw them last night. I reckon they hit the stage only about 20 minutes late so all was good.

It was a great show. Axl Rose looked and sounded fantastic. I was also stoked to see DJ Ashba live performing with GN'R. I am a massive fan of Ashba, have been since Beautiful Creatures and I also love Sixx AM. Great guitarist with an excellent stage presence (Ashba also played all the guitar parts on the Bon Jovi tribute album "Covered Dead Or ALive" a while back).
Preferably, I would love to see the original line-up back together, as I am sure most fans would - but I loved the show and my ears are ringin' at the moment.

Now bring on Bon Jovi on the 17th!

did you guys also get all the pyro and stuff? it was a great show here but a bit overthought and overdone, if you know what i mean.

i'm glad you didn't have to wait that much, 20 minutes is nothing. it's a rare thing these days apparently

Saw them in the UK in Oct.
Got free stage side seats from my contact at the label.

I only went for Seb Bach - who was awesome - just like the first time I saw in 91 when he sang for skid row and was ironically supporting GNR.

GNR were OK but too many solos and im glad I saw the original line up coz these blokes are 6 or 7 strangers to me.
