The danish crowd was a disgrace standing around looking bored the entire time. And I thought Australian audiences were pretty bad. Wondering if this is a cultural thing in Denmark?

Anyone got a video of Lost Highway from this show? He went down on his knees during the bridge and sung to the heavens and it was really cool

I think it's the arrangement that makes the trick - they know how to burry his voice in the sound of others singing. And yes, they are very good singers, apart from the drummer. They have always had great sound and I think they just know how to do it to sound good.

So there is a singer who can actually sing and people think it's a playback?

They almost certainly use background vocals to supplement the sound. I’m not suggesting they don’t also sing live, but there are extra vocals in the mix during live shows.

They do, all bands at this level do.

I think they do too, even though they deny it. However, I don't think they use as much as some people think. Phil, Viv and Sav all have great voices.

That's a very blanket statememt, and not true. A lot of bands do yes, but not "all" bands at that level....

Bruce Springsteen would like to disagree with that.

They do. Phil’s is so put on, but it works! I actually like some Manraze stuff.

But I’ve seen with my own eyes Phil (and Joe) be nowhere near a mic yet their voices are audible.

Again, to emphasise, this isn’t in place of singing live, just to fill out the sound. Hysteria is almost impossible to replicate without additional vocals / guitars / effects.

As a lead vocal, I can only take so much of his voice for that reason. Sounds great as a backing, but it's too much for lead. I prefered Delta Deep as he shared the vocals with a female singer with a huge voice!

Looooove Delta Deep. But yah Phil as a singer/guitarist is the same of one thing over and over again if that makes sense.
