I'm happy. It doesn't sound like it's been pitch corrected. I really hope they play it and other rarities on the European leg of the tour.

It clearly hasn't been doctored in any way. The overall roughness of Jon's tone and the few (slight) bum notes prove it.

There is some technology going on there... I think it's some type of echo or reverb built into Jon's mic... Jon's had that for a while but it seems to be ampt up a little... It's the same technology used in that Christmas video as well...

Maybe so, but there's no autotune, though.

I don't think it'd be built into his mic, it's probably added through the board but yeah he's been leaning on more reverb a little hard the last few years.

Being an ass is going after someone who didn't like something that you perceive to be good.

Also, there were just several notes that he didn't go for. Compare this version to even the live version from Toronto in 2011. This is way way worse.

A super dry vocal is rare anyway, so it's hardly something you "build into the mic". Steve Perry during his prime still had some reverb on his voice for the studio version of Faithfully, so that alone is not a sign of a shitty voice.
