Hi,

could anybody tell me who sang the Into of "Tokyo Road"? I can't find it in the CD (ok, there are some names for back vocals in the CD, but not especially for Tokyo Road / intro of Tokyo Road), and I can't find in "Google".

Thanks!

It was Tico. In his younger days, his voice was really high.

Is it not just from an actual music box? If it is, the chances of you finding out are very slim ...

I can remember reading something in a book years back that a music box was thrown on stage at a concert or given to them backstage in 1984 / 85. The music playing in it is a popular song in Japan, so the band used it on their next album on Tokyo road, along with lyrics.

Hey, it sounds dodgy to me, but maybe somone knows if this could be similar to the proper story.

If that were 20 years later, the translation would be:

"Half tank of gas, half tank of gas
I ain'ts goin' anywhere baby
this party is goin' as far as the eye can reach.
Believe in my smell, let's take a chance on the roll of the dice now"

With a talk box thrown in of course

It's funny until you realise how close to the truth it is...

You left out the "I'm gonna live my life"-part.
