So, it seems like it was a fine show overall. I'd be happy with a setlist like that, but a little bummed about the fact that the THINFS songs were so easilly dropped. Rather have Living With The Ghost or New Year's Day than Lost Highway and We Weren't Born To Follow.

Only heard Bed of Roses and I don't think that it sounds bad. Also, spanish chorus? That's fun. Kinda like that he's playing it that way here.

I just realized there was no WGIGO so yay! It seems I should start calling this setlist "decent"

Rock in Rio is in a week, will Jon be able to sustain this level? The first couple THINFS shows were ok-ish and then it went downhill pretty fast...

Besides Bed of Roses and at least the first verse of Wanted, many songs are still pretty much a cluster**** vocally.
I hope he can improve from the first show onwards. Then again, we also got our hopes up when he did a rather decent Always on the first night of the US leg and it all went to hell from there.

To be honest I could never imagine that the band would play set lists like this ever again just half a year ago. A set with BOR, IBTFY, ITA, TD, KTF etc. and only a single track of LH seemed impossible. Have to give the band that. It's far from "great" vocally, but moments from this show seemed quite decent and it's without a doubt an upgrade from the North American Leg.

Predictions for upcoming SA shows: Always will show up at some point. Porbably Radio as well. A wild card would be Dry County. I'm sure it has crossed Jons mind as it somehow is part of the trio "These Days, Always and Dry County - the most common 'rare" songs". Would be a real tough one for Jon.

OMG my husband pointed out that John Shanks kinda looks like Ben Affleck, I couldn't stop giggling picturing him as Batman

I just realized something, could Jon also have trouble reading from the teleprompter and/or remembering the lines without it? Could this influence his lack of mobility? He's checking it much more than I remember

Are you suggesting he's going senile?

I think now it just comes down to, is a song listenable or not... Bed Of Roses was actually listenable whereas These Days is rejectable... if someone gave me a Soundboard of that version, I wouldn't even take it because I don't want to believe that Jon could ever sound that bad... But Bed Of Roses was a pleasant surprise....
